Warlock voidwalker, destro

so, i am having a big problem as a warlock. my voidwalker, rarely holds aggro, dies easily now. when i do hunts, the prey, when i get ambushed, does not get picked up by the voidwalker, the aggro says 30, the prey still will only attack me, everytime. this is causing me a major issue, as i am getting killed most times by the prey. this is only on Harm, what happens when i open nightmare? this needs to be addressed immediately. truly hope, with this week will fix the issue, last path caused this. wasnt happening until the most recent weekly maintenance.

when it pretty much, makes the game unplayable, i no longer, consider it a bug, sorry. but ty for the reply.

There are no dev here nor do the blues pass along feedback or bugs bug forums are the proper place.

Some Prey targets, I’ve noticed, will ignore the VW and even a tank spec friend if you spawned him.

As Destro put a curse first before Wither/Immolate. That global important for VW to hit prey for initial threat. Also macro pet attack to force VW to attack target as you press key instead of VW waiting until cast goes off… for both Curse and opener. Otherwise your spell lands first and you get initial threat, while your VW is still crawling over to target.

^^^ As you start to cast Immolate, VW will begin moving to prey.

Pretty sure during the ambushes it’s intended design for them to only target the person that’s hunting them. Pets and other players can’t pull the aggro. At first it was assumed to be a bug but now I’m pretty sure you get a debuff showing that the behavior is intended.

Pets are bugged in prey out in the world. They cannot acquire nor can they hold threat. However, they do work on the final prey boss encounter. I made a bug report about it last week.

I can confirm that my voidwalker held threat on prey out in the wild prior to last week’s reset.

Hmm well now i guess the debuff is enforced? The debuff states that the ambush enemy is fixated on the player.

It’s annoying but I just chuck a trap at them now

The VW (and other players’) Taunt will get the Prey off you for a few seconds. But the VW threat aura does nothing.

im finding since this last patch, that the VW barely holds aggro on anything anymore. 2 chaos bolts and the add is on me usually. i hops this patch that takes an entire day at least fixes these issues. youd think they would

I’m seeing a difference with iLevel…. (I’m 278 as of this post) …VW seems to hold threat a lot better than when I was below 260. I can solo and pump hard into the big rare elites (that usually require a party to down) and only pull threat once, before big blue quickly reacquires.

The irony here is, his threat gen gets good at higher item level, when you have less reliance on needing a pet to tank for you.
