So I haven’t played warlock in a long time. The issue I’m having is that i target something, start casting my rotation, and about the 3rd or 4th cast untargets what I am trying to kill. I have to retarget and start casting again. This is happening all the time. I wanted to see if anyone else has this issue or if someone knows how to fix this.
I’ve never seen this on Piddy.
Does the same thing happen on a mage? or any other caster?
I haven’t tried another caster. Thats a good idea.
Do you turn with your mouse? I lose my target when I misclick.
I have the problem with my warlock as well. Normally after using a targeted ability like cata or something. It’s not all of the time, but sometimes it drops my target.
Ok. It’s not just me then.
YES. I thought it was a me problem.
But all most my offensive spells are macro’d and start /cleartarget [dead] Or /cleartarget [help]
With /startattack on next line.
So it requires it (or nearest)
I have never had this issue.
I believe this is my issue, but it seems more sensitive for some reason.
I don’t see why/how I’d lose target unless I click on another target.
I simply have NOTHING selected, usually after my first spell hits. This doesn’t happen in Raid/M+
Do you have any macros with any targeting requirements?
Because that isn’t a Warlock specific issue.
Yes but I don’t press RoF or Cata on those times I lose targets.
Wither, Conflagrate …. Target lost.
Noticed it in Horrific Visions as well as open world. Thankfully my macros for openers have /startattack (and #1 & 2 on bars even while dragon riding so I don’t need to dismount, just attack while near)
This happens on my BM/MM hunter and my Blood DK in Delves a lot. Doesn’t happen on any other class/spec and I can’t figure out why it happens.
If you click on nothing you lose your target unless you have sticky targeting turned on in the options.
Happens to me a lot as a healer because I’m constantly mouseover casting on frames and moving my cursor on and off party/raid frames. It’s easy to press a button over nothing without intending to.
Do you have an example of those macros I could copy? Thanks!
