How in the world are these guys pulling this stuff off? I am pulling pretty decent dps and parsing single digit gray… If I run lake of fire and keep the buff up I am going to be life tapping to a scary level just to not completely oom, RoF is really expensive, while losing all self healing. Maybe my healers are just bad but seems crazy to be able to get these parses without being a massive drag on the rest of the raid group.
A lot of it will come down to kill times, unless your whole raid is parsing high and kill times a low you wont parse well as a tank.
You also need to be 1 tank 1 healing most of the time.
2 heals, with one of them being a mage or druid that supply good dps, will also work.
As for how you parse as a lock tank, its a combination of gear, talents, consumables, rotation, arcano shredder on your melee, a fire mage keeping scorch up, and maybe a cheeky power infusion.
Do all of that, get some lucky crit streaks, and don’t forget to macro your searing pain with start attack on you and your pet.
I mean they are blue/purple and I am gray… Looks like a lot of these tanks aren’t using incinerate which I guess would help by not having to hard cast it to keep the buff up.
Got the mage healer, have the shredder/consumes/most of the gear I could probably give up the stam/improved blood pact talents for a few more dps talents. No scorch and no power infusion. I have the startattack and petattack in the macro.
Not even looking for pink or orange parses at this point… I just want to get into blue/purple at least lol… Hell green would even feel better.
You hard cast it on some fights, but sometimes you cant. The easiest parses will be #3 and #4 bosses. They have specific opportunities to get off an incincerate. Boss #2 you’ll get off a total of 2, one on pull, one on his adds summon.
#1, #5, and #6, you won’t really have time to hard cast it.

This is the one part of parses that I hate - they are incredibly cheesed.

Post your logs and ill show you where you’re going wrong.
Incin and immo uptime is probably the best benchmark of success. If you can manage that with minimal pushback (some is okay) then your parse will jump up a color.
If you run master channeler on the last two bosses then uptime on that is also a good benchmark. On menagrie I’ve 99 parsed (see: supermooboo , lonewolf) with MC and some lucky crit streaks solo tanking dragon. I dont have a giga guild. In fact most by guild green or gray parses.
At the end of the day if you are grey parsing it’s probably a rotation, rune issue. If you are green parsing it’s a incin, immo uptime issue and after that it’s probably raid comp, kill times, and straight RNG problem. Blue parsing should be possible in any comp though.
Warlock parsing is more annoying this phase for some reason. I blame the sweaty warrior rerolls
And yes meta warlock parsing is basically a destro lock in meta form taking a certain % of hits. Im sure theoptimal cheesy parse strat is just taunting and holding aggro for 15 secs before the actual tank picks it up again

Probably should at least attempt to fact check yourself because its about a 50/50 split in the top 100 and shifts based on fight.

I’ve been clicking… I have found like 2 that actually use it. Casting it once on the pull certainly seems like a waste of a rune slot. I can see more use on pummeler and electro. Clearly the “meta” for meta is to use demonic pact.

man I must be unlucky to randomly click on the 20 out of the top 100 that don’t use incinerate… Since you have them all memorized please show me 5 examples of a tank lock in the top 100 that is tanking the entire instance and using incinerate more than once on 4/6 bosses… Thank you for your time and attention to defending your position.
The majority of the top warlock tank parses are solo tanks.
They have 5 points into Emberstorm also, so if you do not have it you will be massively behind right off the bat, just because of spec.
On Mechanical Menagerie it seems like several respec to be able to multi-dot and keep their dots up on all the mobs.
Well you mean besides that R2 is using it? I could continue but it’s clear that you’re just actually to ignorant to check. Multiple in the top 20 are indeed using incinerate 
I dont run incin or lake of fire and I get 80s. Not sure what youre doing wrong. Press searing pain harder?
Bad groups can be a factor if youre killing very slow. Are you running demo build? Do you have the right runes? Those would be what I would expect to be going wrong. Also do you have spark wb?
I only run those on 3 fights. I swap runes on the other 3. Still get 80s regardless.
…except grubbis, that petrify is annoying.
