Warlock Shadow Rift griefing

Blizzard needs to immediately apply Shadow rift to the list of blocked abilities of the Neural silencer. Do not let this easily abusable spell go live into 9.1 without permitting players personal space and defense against the abuse.

Is this similar to the time when you went afk and you wanted Blizzard to punish people who killed you in warmode?

  • Shadow Rift Conjure a Shadow Rift with an 10 yd radius at the target location lasting 2 sec. Any enemies within the zone when it expires are teleported to your Demonic Circle. PvP Talent. PvP Talent. 30 yd range. Instant. 60 sec cooldown. Requires Warlock. Requires level 10.

Looks to be enemy players only by the description. So if it is a PvP talent that is only useable on enemies, the neural silencer would be pointless as it is for spells and items used by allies.

This is going to be a hilarious talent in BGs.

So essentially, the OP is mad that PvP happened in a PvP environment.

They just need to move fast and get out of the zone of the spell.

getting teleported beyond your own will off of a cliff is NOT pvp. it’s literally abusing a harassment mechanic.

I guess Mind Control should be deleted right? :stuck_out_tongue:

incorrect, and it’s every bit as funny as using mind control to do it

Bet you say the same thing about getting MC walked off cliffs or Thunderstorm knocked eh?

its not going to last. but that would be hilarious. Eye of the Storm is never going to be the same again.

I imagine eventually they’ll nerf it in some similar fashion to mind control was.

sure you can still Sorta cheese it. But no more outright walking people off thousand needles reliably every time.

Next thread: Mind Control should not work on players.

In theatres next year.

It’s a cool flavor ability that might not actually be taken.

Don’t see the issue with it, just another way for Warlocks to disrupt the enemy, sure can be used in a toxic way in WM, but there are a lot of things like it and far easier to do.

Working as intended! What an amazing feature.

The only way to grief with this I can imagine is where they can place their gateway somewhere you can’t get out of, and use that to place a circle first. But that wouldn’t be easily doable to begin with and requires specific conditions to occur.

Given they have to be standing somewhere to place a circle, it’s not like they can just come on you near a cliff and knock you off.

Only druids, priests, shaman, and kul-tirans can do that kind of thing.

New thread: Mage portals should be removed from game :rage: :rage:

This is the type of gameplay that OP is referring to. Using the new ability in Warmode in the Maw; just to make people rage.
