I was doing the Warlock questline ‘A Dark Summons’ on my warlock and paused at ‘When Revenge Burns Green’ to do some dungeons. However when I came back to the quest area (Blasted Lands) the demon I needed to kill (Lord Banehollow) was no longer there and wouldn’t respawn - I tried the usual /reload, logging in and out, resetting, etc. So I abandoned the quest in hopes of picking it up again, however there is no way for me to pick up the quest. The quest starts with Warlocks getting a Mysterious Letter mailed to them so I tried the Item Recovery and Mail Recovery service, but neither were able to find the item. I also went back to the area where the quest starts (Assistant Phineas in the Mage Quarter in Stormwind) and he was no longer there.
I also tried opening a ticket under “Stuck on Quest” and got the following reply:
Howdy there,
Game Master Brydriita here at your service!When Lord Banehollow despawns, Madam Shadow won’t respawn until you restart the quest. The location for restarting the quest is in Burning Steppes.
If you still can’t restart the quest, then submitting a bug report is truly the best way to go in this situation, as only our developers would have the ability to fix these issues in the game.

Do you have the in game coordinates as to where the quest can be restarted within the Burning Steppes? I have gone back to boss location and there’s nothing there. To be clear I had abandoned the quest thinking I could pick it back up so there is nothing in my quest log and no clear way for me to pick it back up.
And then got the following response:

Based on my checks I can inform you that in your case our scope might be limited to be able to actually provide a resolution here.
And I wish we had a way so we can assist you in this case, and trust me I did my best to see if we can find any workaround to solve this, however as I mentioned we as Game Masters our abilities are bounded by greater limits, yet I tried my best to get you an exception to solve this however I was unable to.
I really want to thank you for your patience here and apologize about the inconvenience this is causing you right now.

The Darkmoon Faire started so I also tried going back and the zone is still phased as if I’m still on the quest (so I also can’t go there to get the XP buff). I vaguely remember seeing a post on the forms about how we could potentially go to the Faire and kill Twinkle if we didn’t loot the item we needed from Lord Banehollow (I could be wrong here) but there’s an invisible wall and I can’t target Twinkle.
I’ve submitted an in game bug report but no idea what else to do here other than level another warlock.
