New Demonology changes are great but there are two big things:
First, Vilefiend/Gloomhound/Charhound on a 25 second cooldown instead of 30 seconds messes with its timing with Tyrant as the cooldown will be de-synced 15 seconds earlier when Tyrant’s minute cooldown is up. This results in holding Vilefiend for 15 seconds to cast it with Dreadstalkers. I think the previous 30 second cooldown on Vilefiend was fine and flows perfectly with the rest of the kit.
Second, effects like Touch of Rancora in the Diabolist tree, which reduces Hand of Gul’dan’s cast time by 50%, can feel awkward when the global cooldown isn’t reduced as well. In my opinion it would simply feel better to play around if it also reduced the GCD, like some of Balance Druid’s cast time talents do.

Right now if you miss your 2nd Vilefiend window you often have to hold your Vilefiend so you don’t misalign it for your Tyrant, or else you have to push back Tyrant until Vilefiend comes off CD. This happens quite a lot whether by accident of from encounter mechanics. This shorter CD gives you a fair bit of wiggle room. The idea would be that if you get ahead you just hold Vilefiend for 5-10 seconds for your Tyrant cycle instead of just always sending it on CD like you currently are forced to do. This gives the player significantly more control and makes it less punishing. The point isn’t to increase the damage, uptime, or number of occurrences of Vilefiend, but to increase rotational flexibility. It might take a bit of mental adjustment but this is actually a big QoL improvement.
