Warlock PVP Issues and Bugs

Posting these bugs and issues again for Warlock.

Bloodstones:
The warlock talent bloodstones lacks synergy between other healthstone talents and has a major drawback in arena and solo shuffle.

Bloodstones do not reset their 3 charge cooldown while in combat. In arena and shuffle this can be almost entirely impossible to do outside of rare cases where melee players are not tunneling you the entire match or you have your pet sacrificed and you use shadowmeld to drop combat. Demo does not enjoy this tool because pets will keep you in combat.

Further, there is zero synergy between any talents that would have affected bloodstones like a regular healthstone. Sweet souls, soulburn, and most importantly pact of gluttony (which allows the stone to reset while in combat) do not benefit bloodstones in any way.

I’m urging that blizzard let the cooldown of bloodstones reset while in combat either through pact of gluttony or baseline. Warlock is already trading a lifesaving cooldown in healthstone for damage from bloodstone and it would be a shame to see this talent go unused in arena content with no way to use it more than once.

Destruction:
During the Beta, Diabolist Destruction warlock talent Touch of Rancora got hit with severe pvp modifiers that were in reaction to a bug where warlocks could stack Diabolic Ritual/Demonic Art 3 times instead of once. This lead to one-shots on the beta. The bug has since been fixed and the talent is still nerfed. Some light un-nerfing would be welcomed especially since also affects shadowburn and rain of fire and not just chaos bolt.

Ruination also received pvp modifier nerfs which as of this season make ruination hit for far less than the average chaos bolt cast. This has lead some players to use /cancelaura macros to get rid of the ruination buff to cast chaos bolt instead. Please consider buffing this talent to a usable state in pvp.

The flashpoint talent has also been nerfed since last expansion. Since the new value is 6% haste for a 1 point talent (3 in pvp), this nerf is no longer warranted.

Demonology:
The talent Mark of F’harg, which modifies summon vilefiend into the charhound, is still on the shadow spell school. In past expansions this has always been on the fire school. This is likely a bug/oversight and a fix would be greatly appreciated.

Devs don’t read forums sadly.

Are warlock bloodstones supposed to disappear when they hit my bag?

a new bug?

bane of havoc + mayhem has been broken since tww prepatch

we should also report these bugs in game, spot on observations OP

Maybe we should submit one for Fury “Fury is winning games!!!”

Make F’harg great again, whoops freudian slip i meant fire school as is logical. I’m pessimistic enough to think it’s an “accidental oversight” nerf to number of schools available. I made a ticket about it knowing that would do nothing.

The bloodstone talent was an impulse thought poorly implemented solely for the sake of doing “something” to pvp talents. Not one ounce of synergy, agreed.
-About as useful as the cooldown reduction upon casting lightning bolt for rsham…

All healing was moved into healthstone with nerfs to soul leech and mortal coil, and then this talent? I think it’s a beta test to nerf healthstone next.

:100:

I have a feeling they will double down on bloodstones and make it good, so warlocks forsake healthstones.

There are a ton of bugs that should be addressed 100%, but I think the bloodstones not synergizing is intentional.

Sure, we will be stubborn and forsake that talent forever.

When shamanism is on a 1 minute cooldown, can you justify Bloodstones the way it is.

Losing a major defensive for a single use “12 sec” haste buff in a game?

I think it’s just intended to be more of a bgb talent and I DO see warlocks run that not infrequently there.

It replaced Observer which saw significant use in both arenas and battlegrounds.

Would you like it if one of your significantly used honor talents is removed and instead get one that has a niche use in bgb and universally panned in arenas?

I get that observer was annoying for the opposing team and saw many nerfs to dmg and health. When I play aff, am super glad it is gone and doesn’t need an instant shadowbolt investment to kill it. But, Bloodstones???

Lets stop with the copium and call it for what it is in it’s current form.

Unless it works with pact of gluttony, it isn’t worth it. It is a 12 sec buff and isn’t hard to shut the warlock down for that duration if you want to.

This talent absolutely needs a revision in the form of a buff or replacement.

Ya, observer was WAY better.

That… that happened several times to boomy LOL.

Yeah, I think it’s pretty bad, but it’s also just a bg talent. There are a TON of pvp talents like that.

I mean, ret paladin lost a couple damage/healing pvp talents and instead got spectral sight during bubble XD

It should just be removed with no compensation tbh. We don’t need every caster giving itself a blood lust.

No but lots of people say this happens when they take a bloodstone. Not even worth it using that talent
