Warlock is a partial pet class, why did y’all nerf the pets to the point of them being annoying to even have summoned? I have to re-summon my Felguard all the time because drain life heals them for a fraction of a percent?
While drain life healing for pets feels better than blood funnel, i HATE how many talent points i have to spend on the left side just to heal my fel guard. even with high-ish gear, it feels like ALL my demons are made of paper the second they start taking damage
“Been playing a lock since vanilla. Always loved it more than any other class I played. Screwing up the pet heals mechanic has turned the lock into a squishy mage with a pet. Did some programmer divorce a lock?? wtf people, it was a basic warlock mechanic from the beginning, having a pet that assisted the lock was part of the distinction of being a warlock. Now it’s just a lame imitation of another spec. The grind required to play a lock is not worth it, if I could get a refund, I would walk away from this game that I have loved from the beginning. Feels like a huge fu … it’s been a huge frustrating waste of time, not the escape hatch from a stressful work life that it used to be, guess the new wow is geared toward people who never do anything but play the game. Well, I’m the sucker, they got my money for the expac, they got my money for an annual subscription but that’s the last of my money they will be getting, I’ll play til my sub runs out then I will be out as well.
i use demo in bgs pvp mainly, and im telling yall they nerfed the pets damage by like 90 percent compared to last expansion im not even joking. The pets do garbage damage in pvp and pve. The made felstorm a 10 second cooldown which is stupid because it literally does very little damage now u gotta spam it every 10 seconds. Again they made demolocks harder to play and made their damage trash. Now to do any damage you need to constantly cast over and over again to bring your demons out. Meaning in pvp unless you can free cast for seconds on end your not doing any damage. They nerfed dmeonic tyrant damage by like 85 percent compared to last expansion.
Worst expansion for demo locks in wow history. Basically demo locks are a support class basically that do little to no damage, that need to be babysit by a healer in pvp and in dungeons.
demo lock got beaten into the ground you thought demo was bad in dragonflight, the war within, now they do basically little to no damage. They drastically nerfed the damage of the pets and made the cooldowns shorter. So now lock/demo lock has such a high skill cap its not even worth it to play in pvp/pvm. The trash pets do almost no damage in pvp/pvm. You can literally fire off on a player in a bg for 12 seconds straight pop all your cds and your only gonna remove 40 percent of there health at best.
You can’t kill anything in pvp, because you need to cast to bring the demons out and they base your damage on how many demons you have out. So all the enemy needs to do is prevent or slow down your casting and your a easy mark, because your not a offensive threat. Its one reason you basically see bgs have 90 percent melee dps in bgs, and the only caster dps you see are mainly mages. Half the time the pets dont even lisent to your commands. You can literally have all your pets out in a bg and a person with 5 percent life will just run away and tank all the damage.
Anyone playing demo/lock your better off playing a fire/frostmage or boonkin druid
Yup, the first day it happened it was absolutely awful, today felt slightly better but not by much, which tells me that maybe it was a stealth nerf that came in a little too hot so they’re trying to walk it back slightly, otherwise why wouldn’t they just fix the bug and put things back how they were last week?
My Wild Imps are attacking things on their own, now.
Happened a few times in Delves over the last week – at first I assumed Valeera had done something, but then it happened while she was behind me.
Was just doing a WQ to try to wake up, and at one point my Wild Imps switched to a new target on their own after I defeated the one I had meant to attack… it was a melee mob just inside max range for the Wild Imps, I had not attacked it at any point, but they just started firing.
Each time, the combat I meant to start ended, and the Wild Imps started firing at something else on their own. Maybe four or five times in total.
The Drain Life heals are massively bugged (at least, it’s hoped to be a bug) in Delves (you can actually keep them alive, even if they’re standing in something bad for a short time, in the open world), healing for a fraction of what they should.
Before that, Drain Life healing tended to draw aggro away from your pet to you, especially extra mobs that weren’t your Felguard’s prime target.
I’m wondering if this has something to do with a larger issue with getting put in combat/stuck in combat with things I’m not fighting. I’ve seen this on several characters now, with and without pets, where someone is nearby fighting a mob. I know for a fact I have not engaged that mob, but I will be put into/stuck in combat until they finish fighting.
The imps being semi-autonomous with their targeting and appearing to start combat on their own would track with that.
Doing some weird build shenanigans I made a Succubus build to ambush people on BGs using night elf shadowmeld. For that I had to drop inner demons and without them, I started to get out of combat faster.
Those two specifically somehow make rest of demons be locked in combat mode.
Yeah and it is intentional that pet can’t hold aggro due to low damage?
I bet Blizzard doesn’t even test warlocks outside of training dummy, and not even dares to test it on the tank dummy that can hit you back.
That sounds very much like something I saw back in Shadowlands, but oddly it was while I was playing a mage. Torghast had a mage power, Highly Polished Hand Mirror, that turned Mirror Images into an offensive cooldown. A bugged version of it only occurred a few times for me, but they would charge ahead into new rooms to attack mobs I had not yet engaged. They were more aggressive than I remember ever seeing warlock minions.
I made a post about it back then, but I did not see any replies where other mages saw it happen.
