Hi there,
Is there a way I can move my pet attack key to my hotkey section, or make a macro for it? What would the macro be?
Thanks!

You can set it to keyinds.
Go to game menu>keybinds>action bars and scroll down and you’ll see your pet action bar.
It goes 1-10. 1-3 Is go stay and follow. 4-7 is your pets attacks and 8-10 is aggressive passive and defensive.
I just use “/petattack [harm]”
and /startattack to make you occasionally melee when they’re close.
Is this spammable? Different from /cast !attack ?
I like a pet attack macroed to on of my openers. For example:
/cast Immolate (or whatever you prefer)
/petattack
I just ctrl-1. Its preset already.
This and on the second line set your wand or as a hunter !autoshot. The ! Makes it if you hit it more than once it wont cancel it.
I recommend:
#showtooltip [spellname]
/startattack
/petattack
/cast [spellname]
I did this for most of my spells and this has the added benefit of using the highest rank of whatever spell you choose. Don’t have to worry about moving new spell ranks to your bar which is easy to forget.
Yes. It’s not a spell it’s just the command for “start auto-attacking”
Worked like a charm. Thank you unsubbed friend from 2019!
My pet attack is a macro that I exclusively use
/dismount
/petattack
That said, I can also use it just to dismount. Very handy imo. I just bind it to my mouse wheel scroll up. Roll the mouse wheel and the pet goes off.
The only problem with this, I would say, would be that if you wanted to cast immolate on a secondary target and keep your seduction going on another, such a macro would screw you up.
On the other hand, if you’re always attaching immolate to your pet attack, you might get locked into casting it while trying to crowd control an add with your pet.
Sounds like there could be some obnoxious byproducts to combining an attack skill with your pet attack unless you only use it sometimes. But then you’ll have the regular attack and regular immolate also on your action bars, which starts getting a little cluttered imo.
Look at all those rookie macros LMAO. also nice necro btw
/petattack is the objective answer to the question though.
This is the secret sauce to pet classes. Put this on your most spammed ability.
This type of bad macros is what makes players pull ‘accidentally’ in dungeons and raids, and I put the word in quotation marks because a huge part of the problem is when they copy paste garbage macros like the one suggested in this topic. Players start creating a disgusting habit of trusting the macro because ‘it worked just fine’ in open world enviroment while questing, but then the problems arise when they start getting involved in coordinated groups to do more ‘challenging’ content and they completely couldn’t careless to improve their macro or look for something more advanced in order to don’t ruin everyone’s life for those that are in the party/raid.
Pet Control is part of learning and mastering Hunter and Warlock
A quality-of-life macro like /petattack isn’t going to make a Hunter/Warlock any worse than they already are.
I played back when Classic was real and i did fine. Im playing with some old friends for kicks. I dont take classic seriously. Im having fun.
I just needed a macro for some grinding we’re doing. Im not raiding anything.
/petattack
