I like both or these classes but I’m wanting pick one for the rest of the expansions then later come back with the other. I just cant decide on what one to pick first opinions are greatly welcomed here.
DK class fantasy with hero trees is great.
Also they’re melee.
I enjoy my warlock, but their hero trees arent near as fun, nor do they hit the class fantasy checkbox as well as DKs

I returned to Death Knight-dom about 3-4 days ago. It feels really good to play all the specs really.
Plus multi-role goes a long way to easy progress.

What race? as Dracthir? can you be a Dracthir dk?
Why choose?
Warbands have made alts so much more fun to have.
Right now I’m rocking Lock, DK, and Rogue and it’s been fun not stressful / repetitive.
By far the biggest difference is melee verse ranged, and thats just a personal preference on your part.
I prefer melee for solo/small groups/arena and Ranged for BGs/Raids.
But if I was forced to delete one and keep the other, I’d keep my Warlock. Warlock in my opinion is the most versatile Caster. All three specs are different playstyles. You have the heavy hitter Caster, the DoT resource manager, and the Summoner.
Frost DK is a weak link to me. It’s visually fun but plays pretty simple. I dont ever see myself playing Frost over UH, and I’m a believer of choosing the class not the spec.

I disagree. Diabloist and soul harvester hit completely. Can’t get into DK at all, find them boring af. But warlocks, I feel like Gul’dan or a soul harvester.

What spec do you main? I always love Affliction but i cant get into it these days.
Was an affliction main but switched over between destruction and demology but I’ve been sticking to destruction with Diabloist hero tree.
So much green fire and demons running around.
Is Affliction universally thought of as meh, or is it viable?
Well you can be the spoiled rotten class who always has a strong spec

Just my 2cents.
I’ve always loved Aff, but it doesn’t feel super great right now. I mean it’s fine, but spamming malefic rapture just doesn’t feel satisfying to me. I never really liked the other lock specs.
I just leveled a DK and frost was OK for leveling, but it’s kinda boring. I switched to unholy just the other day and it’s fun, and hilarious how much graphical clutter it makes.
Never understood people that play one spec of a class tbh. My advice to people is to find a class, not a spec.

It’s viable, not the best but viable. I love it just because I’m one of those sick people that loves soul drain.
That and the nightfall procs with soul harvester is just so good together.
All i heard is that it was dreadful to play in M+, or AOE in general.
It actually shines the most in M+ but yeah, aoe is dreadful because of vile taints long CD
I would say DK. Far more utility and you can still have a pet. Plus, you can also be a tank if you choose to.

i’ve played frost mage for years and never bothered to use the pet lol
Just saying the pet could go away at any time. Don’t count on it being there next expansion.
They removed Frost Mages’ Water Elementals, they even considered removing MM Hunter’s pets (and that’s an actual pet class), so they removing UH DKs’ ghouls shouldn’t come as a surprise.
