Warlock Nightfall Proc Not Functioning Properly

I’ve noticed that when in the middle of casting a shadowbolt & nightfall procs that it consumes that proc after finishing the current shadowbolt. The current shadowbolt being cast is not effected by it… “increasing cast time” it casts as normal. Not sure if “other servers” had it wrong but i’d always get my SB off then get another instant one after casting. I understand this could be wrong however the proc states “next” SB cast time reduced by 100% so if I am already in the middle of casting one that is not technically my next one.

You are wrong. If night fall procs while you are casting shadow bolt, it will not instantly complete your cast. Your next shadow bolt will be instant cast.

That’s the issue I am pointing out the current SB consumes the proc without allowing an instant one following.

Oh sorry, that’s definitely wrong then.

No problem! Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? If I stop cast on current SB then yes next one will be instant…which his frustrating to do.

Check your combat log. I believe its a animation bug. I rechecked my combat log and found that Shadowbolt is hitting twice if you happen to be casting one and Nightfall procs.

How can you tell when NF proc? I just specced into NF and can’t seem to catch if there is an animation or not.

Theres a sound cue, an animation, and a buff that’ll appear.

the best part is you can hear other warlocks nightfall procs

Yup, agreed. It’s busted. I’ll get video of it tonight while farming princess. It’s real.

Bump to this. I’m having the same issue.

Sound que pretty distinctive.

I’ve been paying extra attention the past week to look for this and it hasn’t happened to me once.

Are you sure you just aren’t mistaking the new way it animates them both at the same time due to batching for missing a cast?

Combat log states that indeed two SBs proc however animation only shows one. Pretty sad… I love seeing my bolts blow things up. Vanilla & PSers were superior with this animation.
