Can anything be done for warlock being so slow in dungeons? I love playing my warlock, I HATE being so damn slow. Even with the tricks we have we deplete our health and hae a slow cooldown just to get to the fight late & hurts our dps.
Yeah, Blizzard could boost Fiendish Stride to 30% health reduction.
You will take the trashy Burning Rush and you will like it !
Instead of escalating speed boosts…
They need to nerf everyone else’s and design pathing and encounters around that. Because almost all specs can move super fast except a handful.
Because “when everyone’s super… no one will be.” - Syndrome (The Incredibles)
I do arrive late everywhere I go in dungeons and raid. In the raid, for trash, I kind of don’t mind it. Sometimes by the time I get there, the trash is dead/near-dead anyway.
In dungeons I kinda mind it because sometimes I’m still running to the pack once they’ve started doing damage already. I mean burning rush should have some kind of penalty - since we always have it available, but it feels steep right now. Maybe just the health penalty while in combat?
Maybe they could add a Soulburn modifier to it so that if you use Soulburn + Burning Rush it will have a set duration (10s? dunno) and not use up any health. Maybe add a cooldown to it higher than the duration as a sort of trade-off.
No more Soulburn! I don’t want a tax on having my abilities do cool stuff. There is no reason that the buffs Soul burn gives abilities shouldn’t be baked into the abilities themselves.
Play a worgen you get a 40% speed boost that’s got a pretty low CD.
I like Soulburn as a way to get different functionality from the same spells to be honest. I guess i don’t feel the shard cost as much because i play demo and shards rain from the sky. I do believe Soulburn cost should be different for different specs to take into account shard generation.
I like the idea of Soulburn if the effects were better/stronger? Currently the things I’m soulburning feel pretty meh. I mean even something like… Soulburn: Curse would apply the curse to all targets within 15 yds or something. I dunno. Something better than what we have now. Then again amplify curse could do that too. You see what I’m getting at though.
I can turn on burning rush in raid the whole time after a boss, and i’m not only 30% health by the next trash pack but I’m still behind mostly everyone else.
Idk I talent into burning rush talents and I can outrun anybody.
I die but at least I’m fast ![]()
I rarely use a healthstone without also using soulburn. The extra healing is nice but the 20% increased max health for a bit can really help mitigate some large damage spikes.
But that’s mostly all I use it for outside of some portal techs to become immune to roots/snares or insta gate on some fights. It would be nice to have some effects be stronger.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but I actually love Burning Rush. The ability to gain 70% movement speed whenever the situation calls for it has saved my butt so many times, and I wouldn’t want it replaced with something that has other limitations. It also gives the class some unique flavor – it’s different than how other classes play in that they can exhaust their cooldowns and be caught in a bad mechanic under certain circumstances.
I agree that the health drain feels a little too punitive and could be adjusted, and that the games’ movement abilities combined with warlocks’ tendency to stand at max range makes it feel like I’m constantly playing catch-up to highly mobile groups, though.
As far as Soulburn goes, it’s a cool concept in theory but it falls flat in practice. 99.9% of the time it’s more requirement than choice when I want to use a Healthstone, and the cost of 1 soul shard doesn’t feel like it adds any real gameplay, especially as Demonology.
I remember at one point we used to be able to Soulburn soul swap and apply all our main dots at once to a target. Something like that felt cool… what we have now is definitely snoozeville
Burning Rush is definitely nice for the reasons you state. It really is that steep HP cost though. Plus needing to spend 2 points on it as well. For the speed increase it gives and the cost of the spell I’m not sure why I need to spend 2 points for that. If the dmg reduction on fiendish stride is gonna remain so abysmal then just roll the functionality into the base and give me my point back.
Might be a you tendency.![]()
Oooo you are not going to like the Warlock midnight changes ![]()
I like the idea of adding Burning Rush to Soulburn, or a talent that makes your first usage of it every 45 seconds or so, not consume HP. Something like that. They can’t make it too strong because of PVP, but they can add a modifier for PVP.
Burning Rush is such an F-tier meme, “light yourself on fire to run faster”.
I’d rather have some sort of portal effect that has more combat utility, with the vibe of popping in and out of the twisting nether or whatever.
