I had it and it was with diff irl name I’ve had the name I have now since I was 7. I also switched regions to come to a new place (US servers and also mid west).
So on my old account I was barely able to get the dreadsteed. Then on this account I got up tp about 95% of it, I was actually on the quest before the last one before they took it out. So I have heard that getting the pally mount was exactly the same. Is that true? And if so then is it possible to get both the pally and the warlock mount? or is there really only time for just one or the other.
I have never met someone who got both back in the day. it was usually just one or the other or neither.
Pallies got the pally mount and warlocks got the warlock mount. You obviously couldn’t have both on one character because you can’t be two classes at once.
You can get both mounts on two different characters if you roll both. Idk your question is very odd I am not sure how to answer it.
The quest chains and mats are both different. (1st part of quest is same) so yes it is doable, but a ton of time invested in just one. I did achieve both, BUT it wasn’t until some time into BC
Getting 1 took some time, if you had both a L60 lock and pally that both had the epic class mounts, that was quite a feat in the day. I only got the pally mount (on this toon) back when it was a human paladin

Has any one written up if either is more substantially difficult than the other?
For Piddy’s here, she got hers the last week before BC. But not counting any time getting gold to buy stuff (she didn’t formally farm any, but she had enough in the end anyway), the quest was mostly straightforward thank to the help of a friend and his guild making the party for DM:W to finish the quest.
I don’t know how involved the Paladin quest line is. The crazy Warlock mats were mostly from a vendor in Burning Steppes, and some apparently readily available, albeit also expensive, mats from the AH.
