Ok, i played the shadow priest to level 60 and had middle of the pack gear and really kicked butt (a lot more than i thought i would). But considering this is a new start, i was thinking Warlock or Mage but I am conflicted as to which one to start. First and foremost i am a PVP addict. I have not gotten past rank 9 yet, but i love to PVP. That being said, which do you think i would have the least learning curve to play in PVP. I was also a level 60 rogue which has a high skill cap, but i am getting older and am not getting any faster lol. I like to be stressed in combat but i hate the whole kiting crap. should i just roll a warrior lol.
I mean those are three of the simplest classes to play.
None are easier than Spriest though in pvp. Your strategy in pvp is the exact same for every encounter no matter how many you are facing or what classes you are facing.
You don’t have to kite, you don’t have to manage a pet, you just do the exact same thing.
So easy that cats and dogs could play it with success. Most cats and dogs are smarter than an average spriest.
Rogue is easy
Out of these options I would suggest Warlock.
Mage requires a lot of knowledge on what abilities to use at each specific moment and how to react to certain situations. It’s a lot like Chess in that you need to have planned moves for the next action your opponent takes. Also you are vulnerable when you need health and/or mana.
Shadow priest just seems like a mini version of a Warlock that can also heal if needed. They are strong, but lack a lot of tools and require friends to help you play to the max. You will also go through mana like there’s no tomorrow.
Warlocks are like a raid boss themselves once they are geared. They don’t require the finesse like a Mage, and they pump out immense damage while having great survivability. Also you will never have to worry about Hp/mana with all your taps and drains.
warlock or spriest.
I played spriest in vanilla. Wasn’t my main…was my first alt.
I did a lot of bg’s as I leveled her and omg it was the most fun I had over my main (hunter). I stuck it out and made Master Sargent before they changed up the rankings.
As an spriest warlocks were pretty tough to go up against.
A good warlock will keep you at a distance and dot you to death.
Play shadow priest, it’s dummy proof.

Fear and Death Coil. lol
Yup, that’s it pretty much
Thank you! I believe i will go with the Warlock. Free mount here i come!!
Show me on the dolly where the shadow priest touched you.
My groin area with their face, I accidentally hit my /sit macro after killing them.

trust me all the things you need to buy and time it takes it isn’t worth it just for a mount.
Always go Warlock.
You can summon hostile NPCs to starter areas at the expense of your honor.
Go warlock. They have a large ceiling depending on your skill. Master your felhunter, master pvp.
This is so ignorant it’s not even funny
You could seriously set up a four switch pedal controller and teach a cat or dog to play spriest.
Sorry if that truth offends you.
Mage has the most control in PvP and are great in PvE. Soul Link Warlocks are god mode 1v1, they’re also solid in PvP and good in PvE. Shadow Priests are great in PvP, almost as good as Soul Link Warlocks in 1v1. However, they’re terrible in PvE–I am talking raids.
Out of all of the classes, I’d say Mages have the highest skill ceiling and you can pretty much take on multiple enemies at once as a mage if you happen to run into a 2v1 match.
Like I said, Soul Link Warlocks are hard to kill and so they also have the potential to 2v1 many classes. Their weakness is their mobility though unlike a mage.
Shadow Priests are the weakest of the three when it comes to team fights where it’s 2 (or more) vs 1. Unlike a mage, they lack mobility and unlike a Warlock, they’re a bit easier to kill. They’re a lot more vulnerable when they turn off Shadow Form to heal. They also have mana issues.
Yeah, spriests are the weakest in teamfights of the 3 for sure. If you enjoy melting people you meet 1v1, often without them being able to do anything at all though then you’ll find them fun.
