I’m older, I have a family, I have a great job, and I don’t have time to raid. I’m well above average at video games. I’m around 2500 on any Lock spec that is viable any expansion. I enjoy pushing Mythic+ and being in the top .5% on RaiderIO. I’m capable of doing these things when Warlock is decent but they’re greatly underperforming at Arena and Mythic+.
Can Warlock please get a decent spec for either Arena or Mythic+?
How can I communicate to developers that I love WoW but don’t raid or do RBGs?
Am I suppose to mediocre by design? It’s not skill based at all. Give me a few days with Lock being at even 70% of the top classes in PvP or Mythics, I’d be out performing most of these no skill classes. The best Warlocks of all time on any specs can’t touch lesser skilled players. Does Blizzard want a no skill based game because it sure seems like it. I’m talking about the brain dead Combust Fire Mage, Convoke Boomie, all of Ret(brain dead since forever.), or Warrior.

Warlocks are so close to great class design I swear.
It doesn’t need to be OP, it just needs to be reimagined.

Sorry you’re having issues there, but I’m here to state with utter conviction that as it stands, Warlocks are very good in m+, and Demo specifically. If I had the tweaks in gear I’m looking for here and there, I’d most certainly rock it longer and harder.

Warlock has really been subpar in M+ since it’s introduction. I think this was something bringing Curses back was suppose to fix, our utility, but I don’t think it really panned out so far.
All three specs can do good and you can excel like with any class, but you will not ever see Warlock in the MDIs or Meta in dungeons for a reason. Too much rampup or too much setup, not enough utility, etc. Demo is probably best built for M+ out of all the specs, but the dungeon really needs to be pulled around it to work at it’s peak condition.
You will work harder making Warlock good for in M+ than a mage, druid, or most other classes for that matter.

There’s this new system for sould binds/ conduits and there’s not one for more healthstones provided by warlock or soulwell cast faster during M+ now the healthstones casted before keystone starts are lost and then you when someone ask for healthstones the cast takes too long during the dungeon is really frustated, we don’t have any support to the group and the only one is really bad besides curses…also soulstone cast is really long but you can put a brez on a target beforehand
You should of left out that first part.
If you make SO MUCH MONEY and you make WAY MORE than wow pros, why don’t you just pay wow pros to teach you how to play warlock?

I was trying to state that WoW pros are very under payed compared to other games. I wasn’t trying to brag, I changed it.
We are passable in M+, lower keys Destro and demo fair better, afflock gets better with anything beyond a 15.
The huge drawback for demo which would be great in keys, is it’s inability to maintain its ramp up in several instances, SoA, ToP, Mists, come to mind, where demo is gimped.
But no, they aren’t anything beyond “ok”. And that’s only if we are chain pulling.
Yeah, that the problem if you bring up shortcomings in the Class/Spec there will always be someone who comes in to defend it. Nobody is saying the class suck. Just trying to have an honest conversation about what is wrong with the class/spec.
I love playing warlock, but the class has got serious issues. M+ being one of those. And it’s not like these issues are new either.

If people want to have an honest discussion about class/spec problems they can initiate without hyperbolic statements on how much it all sucks
It’s not on the regulars to read people’s minds and know that they mean "the are significant and lasting problems with X and we should discuss it and possible solutions"when they say things like “Y sucks, I can’t do.” Or “burn Z to the ground and start over”
If people want to have adult conversations they can start there.
Why do you think Demo is gimped in Mists?
On a serious note. All classes have some issues that plague them in one way or another. The difference is that warlocks are very noticeable with their issues and if you aren’t aware of how to deal with them it’s blatantly obvious.
People also need to realize that different specs and classes have different damage profiles and will excel I. some areas and not in others.
When choosing a class you have to factor in what are it’s strengths and weaknesses and what YOU want to focus on.
I will use myself as an example. I just recently in the last month rerolled to warlock from rogue. I have mythic raiding exp on both mage and lock in BFA. I based my decision on my goals and what I enjoy doing. I enjoy raiding and pvp. So I chose based on that.
Warlocks are great for raiding and good in mythic plus. I don’t plan on doing higher than KSM so I dont need to worry about being meta.

You really are missing the point of the my statement.
I didn’t miss anything. You didn’t make a valid point as clearly
There are people complaining saying warlock is awful.
Warlock isn’t even awful at all.
Certainly you did:
“I love playing warlock, but the class has got serious issues. M+ being one of those. And it’s not like these issues are new either.”
Either way I don’t really see were you have anything to add past trying to argue or defend the class, so I am done with this conversation.
The class doesn’t have major issues. You might have major issues.
The class has 3 specs that are viable for mythic plus
The class has 3 specs viable in raiding
The class has 2 specs viable in pvp with a third borderline.
Sounds like a you issue.
Yup, you got me. I am just a terrible player and there is nothing wrong with the class.
