Warlock is F tier in PvP currently. Change my mind

definitely not lying

damn that is very dope. I didnt see any patch notes about that.

I havent played the STV event in like a week because it was so unbearable. Guess I’ll check it out then

They added the AB lumber back to the event vendor too. I haven’t really been playing because I needed a break from wow, but I need to get back into it myself. I want to play with friends in stv instead of randoms though which is hard to get together at times.

Don’t think I agree with this. Yeah we aren’t as busted as SPriests or Rogues, but I’ve been using two different builds and they both feel pretty good. I can consistently 1v2 almost anyone. The only class that gives me problems are shamans. Try the demonolgy tree pvp talents, they feel really good with a felhunter. With meta and +40 resist to all stats, a spell lock, drain life running, spam searing pain with demonic grace and you’ll win practically every 1v1.

I dont think warlocks are as bad as the op makes us out to be, but we are missing a few key things.

  1. out best defensive ability is level 42.
  2. we really really dont want to spec into only one talent tree. Most of the solid lock builds requires talents from 2 or even all 3 trees and we dont have the points for that. Yes it effects every class but I think warlocks have it really rough…

Also I cant help but laugh about the exorcism thing. Now horde feels the pain that alliance locks have felt forever. At least for you its just paladins and not an entire race that just hardcounters you (wotf). So im going to say what horde has been saying for decades about wotf when it comes to ally locks. Git gud

Man at least you don’t have to deal with freaking paladins.

Bubble your dots and drain and proceed to hoj you and smack your face in for half your health

Lmao yeah I guess that’s true. :joy:

We have to deal with undead racial though

Searing pain hitting for 200 might be the biggest cap i have seen on this forum.

you’re right, but PvP in general is F tier.

At level 60, they’ll give mages some instant cast spell that can two-shot you and make all pvp balance irrelevant

Oh wait, they already did this! Get serious!

What? Locks are doing more fire damage than ever before in classic. Also 500-1k extra HP is nothing with the current burst.

Meta with Aftermath can be pretty good. Instant cast Searing with a 10% chance to stun.

Have you tried to pvp as arcane mage? I can’t get a single cast off before my target runs out of range or pets knock my cast back to oblivion. And I can’t heal unless I’m doing damage, so I can’t heal either. Finally said F it and rolled shadow priest, it’s the same idea just better executed

Meta afflic with drain life, and dots are really all we have. Destro is not viable in pvp at all, and affliction is not viable in pve at all so we are also force to constantly respec if we wamt to be able to perform well in either.

Wow. You are a HORRENDOUS player if this is the truth. You may actually be one of the worst players to touch the game of World of Warcraft.

In no situation. In no scenario should you EVER EVER lose a fight to a Warrior if you are meta spec.

Ohh no. What a shame. You mean like…I have always done for the past 20 years as a tank?

This couldn’t be further from the truth.

Destro isn’t just good, it’s probably overpowered right now. It’s downright baffling to me how so many people can think otherwise… You just have to learn how to actually play the spec this phase, instead of jumping up and down in meta spamming searing pain while drain life makes you near immortal like last phase. Everything starts with positioning.

Aftermath is a SNARE proc, not a stun proc… It’s also only 10%, dispellable, and generally, really really terrible. You won’t even notice when it procs most of the time, because if you’re playing destro properly, you are hitting a target with 3 spells at the same time and likely globaling them (or at least bursting them very hard), a 4% chance to snare them (you only have 2 spare points in destro) that you won’t even notice occuring when it does proc is beyond a waste.

Arcane sucks for the same reason demonology sucks… It’s limited to 30 yard range. You need to be further off the front lines as a caster to survive hardcasting in vanilla… It’s also why Ele isn’t lighting up the world right now, flame shock is 20 yards, and lava burst is 30… You want to be as close to 35-36 (or more if arcane mage/hunter/shadow mind spiking) yards as you can get when turreting out hardcasts in bgs.

Im playing w destro. Its fun as hell, they got the best burst in game.

Bro anyone lock here would wax your lock at any given moment

Come find me I’ll wax your lock as haunt lock
