Can we get some buffs? Like for real? Every other class has infinite instant casts and infinite mana and can dish out 2k dmg in 2 globals.
Meanwhile warlocks are standing here casting spells that hit for 700 on a good day for nearly 3 seconds. and we need proccs and setups. To get a big juicy 1200 hit I need to cast for 6.5 seconds first. I die before that happens. And if a melee jumps me, I die.
Only metamorph is viable in pvp right now. And guess what, It deals terrible damage. 200 dmg searing pains that we have to spam like bots. You think we are having fun running around spamming one ability?
Warlock is seriously F tier and we can’t realistically win any 1v1’s against good players. Our kit is not on par with everyone elses super insanely overpowered ph2 kits. Why did you do warlocks this dirty with our worthless runes? Didnt even give shadowflame a snare… smh.
I’m ready to quit this phase honestly. Ph2 just isn’t warlock friendly and I refuse to play another class.
We had good mana returns, but then they obliterated Dance of the Wicked as bad as they nerfed Starsurge. Back to lifetapping my life away so I can be 1 shot to SWD.
That’s the most depressing answer I heard in my life bro that’s half a year away.
And honestly. we have our entire kit right now, all we are missing is death coil. and since they added the TBC trinket in PH2, now people can actually trinket death coil… so I dont really see how things are going to improve at 60 unless blizzard starts giving warlock some useful runes for once.
Yeah I mean that’s basically how I feel too. Warlock is just worthless right now. Compared to everyone elese we are not a competative class at all.
So I guess it’sa last hail mary trying to make this thread so we can get some buffs. otherwise I have to just stop playing sod I guess. I’m really not having any fun in the game. and like i said I will not play any alts. I’m a warlock main since 2005 and have no intention of ever changing that.
Everything is great at pve. Sure we are top of the dps meters, but it doesn’t mean anything. The bosses die and the loot is evenly distributed.
Nobody is giving me any extra rewards for being high on the dps meters… PvE doesnt matter for anyone. Also gnomer isnt very difficult at all. Once you know the strat its super easy.
SoD is heavily pvp focused and the main reason I play it. Ph1 was kidna pepega since nobody had much of their kit, but p1 was more fun than p2. Because now warlock is not even competitive at all. We are just critters running around getting free killed.
Yup which is why I play afflic. Lots of instant casts but still don’t kill anything lol. Nor can I get melee off me. I think fear is my least used spell which is sad (alliance)
They should make howl of terror instant cast at the very least.

I haven’t played lock yet in SoD, but I have faced them a few times. I’ll just tell you what the lock did that gave me the hardest time. He had these runes from what I know:
Metamorphosis
Master channeler
Haunt
He sacrificed voidwalker for the big shield, applied curse of agony on me, haunt, drain life, then searing pained me down. I was doing 200 DPS to him for 10 seconds straight and his health was going up, kinda incredible to be honest. Perhaps he HP potted and healthstoned too but he was very tanky with meta form.
Warlock may seem bad with other builds but with meta form they should win any 1v1.

Yet warrior demolishes warlock if he knows what he’s doing. Spam slam and mortal strike and im already dead. then auto attack to finish it off. 2 globals and dead. with metamorph
Haunt and metamorph are both glove rune. So no he did not haunt you and searing pain spam you to death. quit the cap.
You either go metamorph and be tanky against melees so u can spam 200 dmg searing pains.
Or u go haunt so u can drain life and be super squishy but u can at least just dot people up and keep moving. But your dots are super weak and you probably won’t kill anyone with this.
Coulda sworn I had haunt debuff on me from the meta lock, but you’re right it shares the same slot. This happened 3 days ago and was a 10 second fight so my memory won’t be perfect.
Either way, you can legit sac your pet twice for two shields (1k absorb each), healthstone doesn’t share a CD with HP pot, you will NEVER get crit by a melee if you’re in meta form, all while you got dots, pet, and drain life ticking on your enemy, all in between searing pain spam.
If you do all that and still lose to a warrior in a 1v1, then you have res sickness.
If you go demonology you can survive, as long as the guy you are fighting doesnt outrange your drain life somehow. Which most good players are usually able to do, especially if they have access to CC.
if you are demonology (so you can sacrifice pet twice with a 15 min CD) you have no talents to increaase the range of your abilities. Which means breaking drain life is super easy actually. And you also have no talents to give you dmg boost to either shadow or fire. which means your searing pain is even weaker. you also have no burst abilities like conflag or shadowburn or nightfal proccs. You ONLY have searing pain as your dmg.
And yeah a geared warrior can very effortlessly burst through your deffenses. Just slam and mortal strike and execute. boom dead. Drain life in demon spec heals for 80 hp/s at 170 spellpower which is prebis+2 gnomer pieces.
Warlock is disgustingly bad bro. I can 1v1 classes if I go meta/destro and run succubus. Like rogues or shamans, and most warriors if they arent very well geared apparently. But then I am uber squishy vs all casters.
