The 12.0.5 update brought a change to the Felhunter talent pet. It now only interrupts on initial cast and not every 20seconds.
That means demo warlocks’ only interrupt is now a 2 min CD.
Please name another dps class in the history of WoW that only had one interrupt on a 2 minute cooldown. Absolute garbage design choice here.
The issue was that affliction running the normal felhunter and talented into the super felhunter could double interrupt. Why didn’t blizz just change that talent to a dif pet summon or something for affliction specifically.
How will I help my group in mythic plus interrupt deadly, wipe-inducing casts with a 2 min cd interrupt?
Why is everyone talking about Grimoire of Sac?? This is not a Demo lock talent. The interrupt change was to Demo lock specifically. Right now Demo can only interrupt with Axe Toss, by stunning an enemy for few seconds. Meaning that all those random casters in dungeons will keep casting where they were standing once the stun ends instead of running to you. Makes you feels so useless seeing how that’s the single most important use for ranged interrupts. An interrupt that isn’t a stun/fear is absolutely mandatory.
The issue is that inside dungeons and raids, the interrupt isn’t really used to stop the casting, it’s used to get the caster mob to run into melee with the tank so they can be agroed and AOEed.
It is so mind numbing at this point how Blizzard just refuses to give Demo a proper kick. Taking the stun off axe toss would be fine. It would still be one of the worst ranged kicks in the game with its 30 second CD but Blizzard won’t even do that.
We actually had one in DF Beta too until some bizarre group of pathetic whiners whined about “class fantasy” and had it taken away.
They need to give Warlocks in general a proper kick that isn’t tied to a pet.
I get tired of trying to explain to people how Shadowfury, Mortal Coil and Fear aren’t a conventional interrupt, so don’t put me on interrupt duty. Especially when the other two are melee and a tank, who have normal CD interrupts that don’t have travel time.
