Now that new Warlock customizations are available, I wanted to unlock “The Codex of Xerrath”, which is a passive Warlock ability that corrupts all of your Warlock fire spells, infusing them with fel magic and turning their animated fire green instead of red. This is done by acquiring a “Sealed Tome of the Lost Legion” and progressing through a few quests (whole thing should take maybe 45mins) which the item launches.
Near the end of the quest line there is a quest/scenario called Pursuing the Black Harvest. I was able to advance to Stage 5 of the scenario but never to Stage 6. In Stage 5, you are required to Defeat the Essence of Order, which drops an item you are to loot known as an Empowered Soulcore. I was able to loot the item but, as I stated earlier, the scenario never progressed.
I thought, “Did I kill it to fast?” So, I had to Leave Instance Group to reset the scenario because the enemy never respawned and I was not able to leave the area within the scenario to cause a reset of Stage 5. Therefore, I took off all my gear so my ilvl was based 0, and punched the enemy until it was defeated. I was able to loot the Empowered Soulcore but, yet again, no progression with the scenario.
I attempted the scenario a few more times via a few other options, i.e., disabling Auto Loot and some other things I can’t remember I did. But still nothing.
I saw on a Haughty Chicken YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdCtd0lXL6k&t=364s) going over the questline (the video is 2 years old but there are some comments younger than 1 day on it) and it appears that others may also be having an issue with the scenario.
Long story short, this is a super specific edge case, and I’m really enjoying my race-changed troll, now a highmountain tauren, warlock and I’d love to have some green fire in order to complete my Feltotem RP I’m going for.
