Warlock Drinking Problems

I keep getting knocked out of drinking… which is frustrating after a big pull, I sit down to eat/drink, and I get randomly knocked out it. Sometimes after 1 second… Then have to waste more food/water to drink again.

Happens quite often. Probably once every 3 or 4 drinks.

It never happens on any of my other characters. Been playing a long time, but this is my first time doing a warlock.

Anyone else have this issue? Is this a known warlock thing?

If you have a drinking problem I’d recommend AA.

My groups sometimes have an issue with “leaving combat” even if we’re done…because a Warlock is Life-tapping.

Could this maybe be the issue? I’d reckon not because you wouldn’t be able to start the drink/food in the first place…

You are too close to the people fighting the mobs. If you stay back you stay out of combat.

It has nothing to do with being a warlock.

How to play warlock properly:

  1. Life tap until mana and health are equal
  2. Eat and drink at same time.
  3. ?
  4. Profit

Also life tap doesn’t keep you in combat. That’s just false.

No, this isn’t it.

It happens when I’m solo. It happens when there are no mobs near me. It’s not an in-combat thing. It’s not a life tap thing. It happens consistently and indescrimininently.

I honestly think it might be a bug.

I’ve seen it happen a couple of times too, and I don’t have a warlock.

It is not this, but it would be funny if it is just some rogue following you around distracting you.

Could be an addon or something? I think if you do an interact you stand up. I dont think that requires a button push so it could be in some helper function or something, maybe trying to do something with your pet?

I am just thinking about how if you interact while in cat form prowling. It shifts you to caster form and un-stealths you. I accidently do that all the time.

I play a priest as an alt. I drink after every pull.

There is nothing wrong with drinking.

You are doing something wrong. You are bad.

Case closed.

just getting into combat doesn’t stop your eating/drinking :expressionless:

It does stop health recovery but not drinking. Combat immediately stops health recovery but not mana recovery.

I play a priest.

I am a warlock main.

I know more about this than you.

Oliver Reed said this.

Your dad probably too.

Life tap doesn’t cause combat.

If you have a warrior tank it could be him keeping you in combat.

If your imp is buffing him and he blood rages it can pull you into combat.

Buffing someone in combat makes you enter combat.

If I just healed a warrior and he blood rages it makes me enter combat as a priest and I can’t drink.

It’s either warrior related or pet related. The pet may be on defensive which could enter you into combat when anyone in your party enters combat because the pet tries to defend you.

Probably an add-on.

I know right.

You can life tap anywhere and see immediately it doesn’t enter you into combat.

It’s impossible.

It’s either:

  1. A warrior
  2. Your pet
  3. An addon you are using wrong

it’s always an addon :expressionless: players download like 50 mini programs all running concurrently and they’re surprised when odd things happen

Is this happening after your pet dies/is sacrificed? When I run dme I sac my pet for hp regen, and the when the portrait of my pet goes away, my character stands

Something is off here…

I have never seen a warlock “Drink” before; they always suck down my mana before anything with their life tap spam.

Only good warlocks drink.

You are on ally so yeah you probably wouldn’t know.
