Can you PLEASE fix dots on warlocks… getting really old finding a quest mob dotting it up and someone comes a long hits it one time and takes it from me…
This is not a bug. You tag the mob when you damage it, not when you apply a dot. Curse of agony doesn’t tick for 2 seconds.

Same goes for Shadow Word: Pain on a priest. You have to do a certain % of damage to tag the mob as yours.
It sucks, but I’ve learned in highly farmed/quested areas to hit things with my wand first.

If you can get more than one global up (you said dotting it up, plural), then you could pull with Immolate, searing pain or if you’re specced for it - Shadowburn.
You posted this in the bug report forums and asked blizz to “fix” it…
you actually posted it exactly like one would if it was a bug, this is not the place to post “changes” that you want that are not actual bugs, this is for bugs only. I would suggest posting in general for the things you just want changed that are actually working as intended.
Wand it or immolate it first. You have to do burst damage. Yes, it would be cool if DOTs ticked on application but they never have. It’s tic DOT.
