i mean, it could still work lore wise, you infuse a soul into a construct and control it
Stone Constructs are non-undead aberrations, it checks out
Your argument would make sense if people were asking to remove taming from Hunters and give it to Warlocks. Thankfully no one is asking for that so I have no idea what you’re talking about.
The post were made for ask something cool for warlocks, even for death knights and see what other players think.
If some players are so bothered by the current status of the hunters, why not suggest new additions to the class too?
For hunters i’d love to get different animations for guns and bows, for example.
Cool story, because most people who want a thing will support it. Majority doesn’t rule in this game, see pathfinder. Classes should remain distinct.
Warlocks need some way to customize their minions. I think it is a great way to let them have more individually and it would be fun to replace your demons with other appearances.
Giving locks a type of pet “stable” does not harm hunters. I think they deserve something like we have. It doesn’t have to be as expansive either… 200 demons would be obnoxious. But I think at least warlocks should be able to replace every demon type with a new skin if they choose from out in the world.
Hunters can tame cloud serpents, felsteeds, and mechanicals. Warlocks really need some new options because it is just unfair at this point for them to have nothing while we can have so much.
Never understood that level of why a handful of hunters use that retort.
Just looking at Petopia even with reskinned pets there are a wide range of pets that offer so much to a hunter in aspects from unique looks to abilities that can benefit solo to group play.
Where does that identity being taken away from? Out of that entire collection in Petopia, of well over a thousand pets, where does warlocks asking for a bit more variety by wanting something simple, as and example, like; jailer or inquisitor model take from your class as a whole?
hunters have multiple identites to them…their the only class in the game with traps, only class that uses ranged weapons, only class thats so easy you can play with your feet, what more do you want?
I think it has to do with Hunters like Bretherezen are hoping to tame Demons in the future and giving it to Warlocks would take it from them.
And yet, you’re wrong because it still makes sense. You’re taking away the one thing that Hunters have to themselves, without removing it–the fact I have to state this is mind boggling and quite telling to your intelligence level–, and giving it to another Class.
You’re stripping away the last functioning level of Class Identity that Hunters have had to themselves, in favor of giving it as well to Warlocks.
The only thing I am okay with, and have been okay with, is Warlocks having Glyphs for changing the appearance of their base minions.
Allowing them to go out, “form contracts” (tame) and otherwise store (stable) other Demons would literally be the same functionality as Hunters have.
What, then, pray tell, would Hunters have to themselves anymore?
Ever since Vanilla WoW you Warlocks have clawed for this to be added, and Hunters have clung to their class identity thus far. I refuse to give this an affirmative nod and let the last strip of class identity my main class has, be accessible to another class as a functioning mechanic in any capacity.
We’ve asked for quite a lot. The last and only thing that changed was Survival spec to be a melee-oriented Hunter spec, and that took us over 4 expansions to receive.
I am all for letting them customize more, I just don’t think “tame all demons like hunters do” is the right approach. It absolutely infringes on hunters. Let them get different skins and do quests for new ones or something. The taming part and stables is a hunter thing.
Only class in the game with traps? Engineering has something to say to that. Different scope, but still similar. Likewise, traps are practically useless in today’s WoW except inside of PvP.
Only class that uses ranged weapons? We use them primarily, yes, but this wasn’t always the case: Rogues and Warriors also used to use ranged weapons quite heavily.
Only class that’s so easy you can play with your feet? Stop trolling.
Even if all demon models in the game were given to us, a warlock would never come close to the hunter options that will always get more options each expansion
There are literally over 300 but less than 400 models in game for demons and aberrations
Hunters have over a THOUSAND pet options
Glyphs ain’t cutting it boo
And glyphs are the worst way to do it. Glyph of Wrathguard bugs every new patch T^T
- i have literally never seen anyone use engineering for anything besides the transmog/mounts
- Freezing trap is arguably on of the best cc skills in the game in high end pve content
- Tar trap has always been decent, and is even better with soulforge embers
yes and that was removed, so now thats solely a hunter identity
ive done it before because i was eating, the class is generally really easy to play
Well, if those “hunters” are going that route, hunter took Lock identity with their lone wolf, just a cheap knock off of Grim:Sac, which was introduced before LWolf lol, they just didnt have to select a talent for it.
Subjugate/Enslave a handful variety of demons with unique looks with some useful features versus having new sub sections and unique breeds attached to mini quests that offer more utility…
Bleh. It isn’t taming, well in the gameplay sense it similar. As well, most importantly, it isnt stealing an Identity. Plus, it have been requested aspect of locks for longer than DHs have been requested, so this isnt some new fancy thing suddenly spurred up to ruffle arrowjockies.
Damn you’ve never seen anyone use a glider. Impressive.
Personally i would keep enslave as it is, however allow warlocks a new skill i would call Dark contract, for their taming aspect
well i have, but its extremely rare so i completely forgot gliders existed lmao
