The class needs help, come on blizzard, even affliction is only a mid tier dps atm, while destro and demo are 2 of the 4 worst dps specs in the game rn…

okay, didnt realize affliction was actually so high, but still, the other specs need love, if i wanted to play a shadow priest i would have picked a shadow priest
I think what Affliction needs the most is in the AOE department.
But they are really good on Single Target.
Affliction is fine in the AoE cleave department, it’s dungeon quick-AoE that lags behind. But making the ramp up quicker would make the ST too powerful.
Would it really though? Unless you missed it, the dot will be doing 100% all the time.
Pretty sure Blizzard doesn’t care as long as one of a classes spec is desirable in raids. I’m with you, but its just how they do things unfortunately. At least they’re ranged and have the option to play Affliction, some melee classes have it worse.

If you apply the dots quicker ST, you are DSing faster, generating more shards in a shorter time, and hitting more MRs? Maybe it wouldn’t make it stupid OP but it would make ST stronger and as you said, it’s already strong.
I’m a long time destruction player and have been raiding with the same guild now for 3 expansions. Destruction is always kinda weak at the beginning of the expansion but what I don’t like is that this is the first time that I’m barely making the cut for the top 13 for Mythic in our roster even though I’ve consistently performed at 80% best perf average during progression and hit 95% overall after farming a few weeks. I can definitely feel how weak the two target cleave is on Lord Altimore. Destruction throughput while I’m running cinders and getting 5 chaos bolts and 4 conflags in a havoc window still doesn’t even come close to the burst from affliction/balance/fire mage. Destruction is no longer at it’s power it has been in the past 3 expansions imo and I really hope blizzard gives it a small buff so it can become competitive again for players who play the class to it’s full potential.

can’t have powerful dots without removing dot protection and then eventually renerfing dots. ty pvp.
Warlock in general could really use some attention. Its got great raid damage sure, but you have to be Affliction and even then its incredibly complicated to get good damage numbers out, a lot of which is made even more complex with a good helping of rng. Destruction and Demonology are basically looked down upon in higher tier stuff. Trying to run anything above a +11 mythic key gets incredibly stressful, as theres about 30s of ramp up time no matter the spec before damage is really noticeable. In that 30s, if you instead brought a mage or druid, most trash packs would be dead already so why not bring them? Boss damage is good but over the course of a fight not THAT much better compared to other classes, so again why have warlock? All the damage is locked behind big CDs, outside of which you’re throwing wet noodles around. In the 1min 30s I’m waiting for Tyrant to come back up my dps dips, while other classes would still be consistently sitting at 4-5k dps.
Not even touching on pvp survivability…

Maybe just reduce the amount needed then?
Make it 6 or something, reaches its full potential faster while doing the same dmg it currently does.

They’re fine. Although demo and destro I do agree need some help. They’re a bit sad right now… but maybe it’s punishment for the abomination destro was in the end of BFA. Who knows 
even just demo being good would be nice, i dont wanna play discount shadow priest
