A long way from being a tanky caster class which we all signed up for… now we are made out of paper
Imo ever since they started telling us that warlocks are a “tanky” class, we’ve been less tanky than most of the other casters.
Both mages and priests have absorb shields. mage have ice block, priests dispersion and off heals.
We have a reduce dmg cd thats way too long for what it gives and that’s it. Drain life isn’t strong enough to do sh!t in a burst meta and death coil is more used as CC than a healing ability.
Juking kicks is vital.
I had a funny 2’s game last night where i juked a DK’s mind freeze 10 times in a row. Bet he was raging.
We were tanky because of inflated health-pools after getting late into the BFA expansion due to a minor buff on demon armor and the Soul Leech passive we all forget about. However its next to useless in the current meta of burst damage with low health pools. Even with 40k+ hp we are squishier than a mage that can just shart out triple shields every 45 seconds for their an entire health bar in defense.
I miss the old Blood Horror talent (think that was the name) where you would activate it and if someone melee’d you they’d be feared automatically. Made it harder for melee to train you so hard.
For PvP the nice thing about being NF is that Nature Lock means nothing. I’ve definitely baited kicks into Soul Rot just to cast CB at someone.

Lol a rot class with no real defense other than kiting, and our rot damage is weaksauce.
We need a much faster, baseline running speed, and a longer range, then kiting could be fun.
Damn bro. That hit close to home. Pretty much sums up my experience playing this guy in leveling BGs for the past week.
I just want to go back to casting my signature abilities again without spending talent points.
I also want them to lose the nerfs they got.
Give me Howl of Terror, with an instant cast Shadowfury, and a Death Coil that actually does damage again similar to conflag. Then you can replace the talents with something new and interesting.
Make spells stun again on RNG. Give me those passive shadow/fire absorbs that proc again. What happened to that RNG instant cast incinerate too?
Give me baseline shadowburn again. Also get rid of the CD for it. So I can use it to execute people, get a free shard, and spam it some more that felt so satisfying and rewarded skill and timing.
Screw corruption, screw the curses. That’s affliction garbage and I don’t want it in my demo or destro kit wasting precious keybinds.
In the place of corruption I’d rather have searing pain back. Then let me move while casting it. So you got that mobile filler in the place of immolate. Hell if you want to get fancy with it you could make it not even have to take up a button. Just make incinerate be what you cast while standing still. With your cast turning into Searing Pain while you’re moving.
Also where the hell did ember tap go? Embers/Shards used to be easier to get and you had more breathing room to spend them on utility or heals. Now you get them so slowly that by the time you can double cast CB the fight is over.
We used to have nearly double the health as most classes, which made us tanky with all our cooldowns. but they changed that, and we have been squishy ever since.
