Trying to gear and learn this lock, is there a spec that is the least painful being undergeared? Easiest to learn? I have been trying affliction, but maybe its demo?
Also, if I have interest in playing all 3 specs, what stats should I concentrate on to be semi effective with all 3? I assume vers/haste. Thanks for the help.
For stats, mostly haste/mast. I think destro is the easiest to learn to play.
It’s a pretty straightforward rotation and not a lot of buttons need to be pressed. I prefer demo, but the rotation isn’t as forgiving like destro is.
Yeah, destro is easiest, although demo doesn’t have a lot of buttons if you do the dog build, it can be frustrating because to do your best damage you’re always paying attention to how many imps you have out, and it can be annoying to be playing the ahhh get me more imps! game. The cooldowns, on demo, depending on what talents you’re running, are also frustrating, because they are all on different timers.
I find destro to be the easiest.
Outside of that its really just managing Havoc, the covenant ability and Summon Infernal.
With the current talents in DF you can make a Destro build that is just Immolation, Incinerate and Chaos bolt (replace with RoF in aoe.) Making it one of the easiest specs in the game although who knows what kind of damage that would do.
Demo is definitely the beginner spec, warlocks are squishy & the felguard is a good bruiser pet.
