I’ve hit 20 on my lock and struggling to be competitive on dps in dungeons, I generally use shadow bolt volley with demonic rune and incinerate and usually dead last.
Tips or are locks generally bad in dungeons
I think it’s typically harder for locks to deal decent damage in dungeons where trash just drops over quickly. Multidotting helps to an extent, but if things are dying in 5 seconds even your multidotting won’t help much. Once you have hellfire you’ll be able to pump on aoe pulls. I haven’t played much with shadowbolt volley or lake of fire yet either so I can’t speak to those.
Warlock AoE isn’t the greatest, warriors will outcleave on 2-4 targets and mages will beat you on larger pulls.
I’d just stick with single target fire destro for small packs and rain of fire (with lake of fire rune) on larger pulls. Precast incinerate so you get the damage buff rolling before casting rain of fire.

At this point im just an engineer that happens to cast some shadow/fire spells.
Don’t even bother aoe’ing with warlock. Just dot and single target DMG. Let the aoe classes handle the aoe.
You pump high on bosses so it’s all good. Use incinerate and chaos bolt.
As a lock you should be single-targetting unless it’s like 7+ mobs , then you RoF. Idk how effective SB volley is. But locks are generally pretty trash at clearing trash. I’ve heard that the best way to go rn for dungeons as a lock is haunt, master channeler, and incinerate. Pvp spec is prob the best way to go, with insta-cast corruption, curse of agony, drain life, and incinerate. But it may be worth to swap haunt for SB volley and incinerate for everlasting affliction. You’ll be a dot machine

Dot everything then rain of fire.
Lake of fire spec for PvE or noob. Seriously tho, lake of fire spec is so far above the others it’s not funny. Sb volley isn’t good until you get everlasting affliction, even then when you do mobs die too fast, and you just spam sb volley. At level 20 id respec, and use chaos bolt, incenreate, and demonic tactics, then switch tactics with lof when you need AOE, or a shorter st fight.
Your rotation with tactics would be incenreate, chaos bolt, immolate, incinerate filler. It’s good in dingeons, tank will never hold threat on your st.
With lof it’s incinerate to keep buff, rain of fire to apply debuff and maintain it, chaos bolt, immolate, incinerate filler.
No dots, no corruption, maybe curse of recklessness for melee.

Multi dotting and succubus. I rocked master channeler, haunt, and just dotted and life tapped.
You can’t really do AOE at this stage of the game.
Your AOE ability is in P2. You just have to wait. You will be doing 2nd highest AOE behind mages in P2 when you get hellfire.
So on Feb 8 after you level up to get the ability.
Incinerate and spam Rain of Fire with Lake of Fire rune.
That’s it. You really can’t amp up anymore than that until Warlocks get Hellfire and more talent points to beef up all those fire spells.
