Warlock Absorb Shield

Is there any counterplay to this at all in open world?

I’ve thrown wrecking throws, blown all my burst, killed their demons and still that bubble will not pop and I have 45 seconds as warrior before Im just dead.

And that shield remains unpenetrated

Is this somethng like 2million damage absorbed? I can’t believe that.

How to counter?

Locks don’t have a 2 million damage absorb

What is eating 45 seconds of zugzug after i eat their DR stuns [probably demo].

Idk maybe you just have low damage output

I’ve been arms and Fury both in full Conquest gear

Fury Reck into Avatar and Thundrous roar followed by another Odyn’s fury and pumping 50k+ bloodbath crits

Even Shield of Vengeance pops after just a few seconds of that.

The barrier is eating more than 2m damage with 40 seconds of 60k dps minus vers.

What is the counterplay?

Because they feel like necromancers in GW2 that pops protection and deathshroud for 2x their hp and you just die to conditions in 30 seconds.

I think you’re overestimating yourself tbh. Because ain’t no way a lock is absorbing 65k dps for 40 seconds straight

Reck into avatar , rampage and thundrous roar is 300k damage with bleeds and physical over 10 seconds on its own easily. Then blood bath is hitting 40k and executes 50k crits.

Their entire health bar remains full pumping bloodbaths into it

There has to be some sort of 50% or more damage reduction added on with the enormous shield.

Cause at this point I’m just heroic leaping away and hoping that’s a 3min cd

Maybe its nerfed 50 or 60% in arenas

This is exclusively an open world issue. War mode, WQ, Duels etc.

That’s because dark pact is about a 300k absorb.

40k will finish off dark pacts absorb, and 50k will erase the soul leech absorb.

Ofcourse it’s still full, you only described like 10 globals lmao

during Reck Fury is putting up a pain train of 30-40k Bloodbaths, rampages and executes with tier set

Executes can spike 60k.

I think there’s some fat nerf on it in arenas. and its grossly overtuned in open world.

Not even rets can facetank warrior damage that long. Slaughterhouse hurts.

Sounds like you’re fighting an aff lock that’s popped unyielding resolve and dark pact at the same time. They’re healing by damaging you and your damage is being reduced by cooldowns at the same time.

Welcome to 1 v 1 with a warlock. A tale as old as time.

I mean if they dumping their CDs into unending resolve then that’s the warriors fault.

And that’s even after locks got hit with the indirect nerf to DL’s healing capabilities

Is unyielding resolve 25 or 50% reduction.

It’s a 40% reduction for 8 seconds, every 3 minutes (can be reduced if we’re taking more than 5% of our health in damage by 10 seconds each time, but requires a hefty two point investment)

Also ‘triple dipping’ is such a dishonest statement ew.

Dark pact and the world pvp set bonus which gives a huge shield when stunned.

I think melee got so used to walking over locks that when that doesn’t happen, they’re just at a loss.

Both wrecking throw and shattering throw do 500% damage to absorb shields and wrecking blow is on 45 second cooldown same as dark pact. Skill issue.

This has to be a troll post right? Dark Pact shield is not that big. Something like 200-300K depending on health of the warlock. Unending Resolve is a 25% DR. There are a couple other ways for a lock to sustain. Leech shield (small), mortal coil, drain life, soul link. But what you’re saying here and what you followed up with in comments is just gross exaggeration. Sounds like a skill issue and you’re looking for excuses to pin the blame on anything else.

Dark Pact does about 45% of my health, which is about 211k dmg.
