Just wondering… is there a way Blizzard can make a much easier way to obtain the transmog for the Warglaives of Azzinoth? It’s not easy to just find a group in a 1 week window for Time walking Black Temple… and not to mention… It’s even more aggravating to have to wait 3 months to even begin to attempt to obtain the transmog…
Everyone spent all that time trying to farm the Warglaives to begin with… now we have to go through all of this just for a simple transmog? Can there be some kind of update or change for this to make it easier? This seems a bit far fetched and ridiculous to have to go through so much for a simple transmog… We already spend so much time to obtain the legendary glaives which is frustrating enough… It would be also nice to see a shadowmourne transmog for death knights as well too in the future. Just saying Blizzard, can you fix this?
Agreed. The only reason I haven’t bothered a timewalking raid is the difficulty in actually forming a raid in such a short time window doesn’t seem to fit with the chance of getting a legendary transmog. This is of course assuming the warglaive drop rates are the same as the regular version. I’ve played since vanilla and have only seen a single warglaive drop. Sadly it’s on my hunter and can’t even use it.
On a seperate note, I’d love to see the sunwell added to timewalking so I can have a chance at unlocking my legendary bow (which I do have) for transmog (which I sadly can’t as of now). Or just remove the limitations on unlocking legendary appearances all together. But I know long time players will probably get angry over that one.
ummm you can farm normal black temple every week, once you have both glaives then all you need to do is kill illidan on time walking week, the transmorg item is 100% drop off illidan if you have both glaives. once you have both glaives its easy…one time walking boss kill.
Sounds quite nice… just waiting 4 or 5 months each time to even be able to obtain the transmog is a bit much. I wish there was some kind of quest I could do to obtain the transmog for them. I don’t care if it’s as difficult as the green fire warlock quest, or even the mage tower legion quest. It’s just irritating to have to wait an insanely long time to obtain something that should be much simpler.
It’s only a cosmetic thing, I don’t see the reason to make it so heavily restricted. A lot of people didn’t seem to que for Black Temple during time walking. I tried everyday for an entire week. I ran across 1 group and they bailed on the 3rd boss. This is atrocious to have to go through 9 kinds of hell for a cosmetic… lol
I don’t mind grinding for things sometimes. But being time gated drives me nuts for something so simple. I pay a monthly subscription, and it’s even a little more pricey now due to “our wonderful government” and their new internet transaction taxing. Being time gated for something I should be able to just farm is crazy… Please Blizzard, can you make a questline for this that’s not time gated we can grind for on our own time? Maybe even add the option for other legendary transmogs for other classes too? Just a suggestion and request. Thanks.
I think its great the way it is, lets not give everyone everything, it takes away from things feeling uique, I remember in Vanilla seeing a pally called Halstrom on blackrock in full dungeon (Blue gear) and there were people standing around him, or BC people seeing the first set of glaives on a rogue, it looks cool, when you see 4687 people with war glaives they become Meh they need to leave things in the game that are hard to work for and get, then they feel more rewarding and special, if everything is easy to get it becomes boring and bland
But if a ton of people obtain legendary items, that defeats the purpose of things being unique to begin with. Kind of like artifact weapons were. Ashbringer etc. Most legendary weapons are obtainable still.
While I don’t have an issue making legendaries hard to obtain. I do have a problem with having so many nonsense restrictions on cosmetics. They’ve already given demon hunters the ability to transmog legendary weapons, they might as well give all other classes that option too. Blizzard has essentially opened pandora’s box with the legendary transmog. They might as well take it and run with it.
I’m gladly fine with a challenge. But I dislike pointless time gating for a game we’re paying monthly for. That just draws me away more. People argue they want time gating like daily quests and weekly unlock raids, and daily reputation quests etc… but people will have unique things either way, regardless. I might be a casual player. But I’m perfectly fine if someone wants to grind for 30 hours nonstop to obtain something, that’s on their own time. Blizzard does too many time restrictions, for a monthly fee. That’s just an issue that’s been going on for so long I feel should be fixed. Otherwise I can see a lot of people quitting. People already dislike BFA because of too much grind. It’s highly likely they’re not talking about actual grind, but moreso talking about time gating I.E. daily quests etc.
Doing the math, you’re paying 50 cents a day ($15 a month) probably more for europe players. Just feels like a waste of money to be forced to wait an entire 24 hours to just repeat a few quests to unlock something… lol That logic just seems cheap to me.
Lol… that’s no excuse… then they could have just added new warglaives to the game. Wrath of the Lich King was heavily themed around Death Knights and the Lich King… Yet here we are… shadowmourne isn’t transmoggable still… Just pointing that out… It’s no excuse for developers to get lazy enough to not add more warglaive models to the game. The time and effort it takes to make the legendary weapons transmoggable, they could have just added new models. I feel they did this for another reason… rather than being lazy.
(I’ve worked on a lot of games myself. Only speaking from experience.)
Or since it was literally the perfect thematic moment for Demon Hunters to do so, it made perfect sense to allow it during Legion.
Transmog wasn’t a thing back in Wrath. If/when we ever deal with The Lich Bolvar, I’m sure they’ll add a way for DK’s to get Shadowmourne.
Well, what was it? Were they lazy or not? Pick an argument.
Of course, they weren’t lazy. They added 36 artefact weapons, each having 6 different models with 4 different colourations - a total of 864 weapon skins.
Rather than just randomly throw some glaves in somewhere - a vendor, a random drop - they decided to do something cool and let those who had collected a full set unlock their appearance for Demon Hunters.
Yeah but uh, it’s not unique. Everyone and their grandmother has the glaives and the glaive xmog. It’s only a few stragglers that got left out due to their personal circumstances.
So preventing them from getting it doesn’t make you a snowflake. The time to have warglaives and watch them be special came and died in BC. After WotLK hit and people started going in for EZ farm runs in small groups of level 80’s it lost all relevance.
Thank you… seriously. Thank you for being one of the few people who can vouch for this… it shouldn’t be rocket science for a lot of people to seriously realize this…
Pick an argument? Fair, okay… Then they’re being lazy. You’re the one who stated they lacked massive lack of warglaive models… Anyways… back to my point… My point being I see no logical reasoning for them to restrict legendary transmogs as much as they do… being as anyone can go farm the legendaries and have them in their inventory to begin with… Then if you need more valid evidence it’s silly for them to restrict transmogging legendaries… Then here’s another point.
Why on earth… did they make a weapon that was supposedly, and apparently never to be obtainable by players being the one and only god weapon… >Ashbringer< suddenly became an heirloom weapon every single paladin who reached level 98 could get their hands on and run around with? What about that? Do you see my point? They’ve already opened pandora’s box with Ashbringer… why even bother trying to restrict legenday transmogs? It’s pointless. It just restricts good artwork/content that no one can enjoy.
I love the artists Blizzard hire and take so much time and effort to put awesome stuff in the game… and it drives me crazy to see such great iconic and legendary artwork go to waste and just collect dust and spider webs. That’s my point I’m trying to make, I’m sorry to call some, (Not all) of the team a little lazy. But I wonder sometimes the weird logic Blizzard uses for things… I’m just making light of this bizarre decision some of the team is making on restricting these… And it would be amazing and excellent to even see some kind of quests or something to unlock the ability to have all legendary weapons used as transmogs. Without the insane time walking 6 month time gate of course…
