Warglaives for everyone?

Is it time to let classes other than Demon Hunters use Warglaives? Any spec that can use a 2-handed bladed weapon, should be able to use them.

If you want to draw the line at Fury warriors dual-wielding Warglaives, cool as that might look, I can totally understand that. Even having a Fury Furry alt.

And then, once more classes can use them, they can drop more often - something I’m sure DHs would be happy to see.

I just wanna transmog my warglaives of azzinoth without having a arbitrary timewalking achievement roadblock. I could see rogues and warriors using warglaives.

I didnt mind the raodblock, they are a unique item. But being denied the transmog on my rogue, even though my rogue did all the work and my DH never even set foot in BT, is a huge disappointment.

I also farmed them on my rogue, didn’t have my dh at the time. Seems dumb I can equip them both on my rogue but can’t transmog them. I can transmog the legendary daggers I have in my bank.

warglaives should be wearable by rogue , monks and warriors

but its not like weapons drop in raids anymore lol

Warriors, rogues, DKs, and monks were able to use the game’s first pair of warglaives long before demon hunters were playable, and they’re regularly used by non-DH NPCs, even now in Shadowlands. If making them more widely available would upset DH players that badly, just let that class equip staves and polearms with new animations to compensate.

All Warglaives is kind of overkill.

The Warglaives of Azzinoth that were orginally wieldable by sword users? Yeah that should be for everyone.

Sure, toss us the ability to use two handed weapons and shields in exchange?

Yeh DH should at least get polearm so they can use scythes. Shields don’t exactly fit in with the theme though?

You’ll put your eye out kid

How about no. Let’s allow some classes to have their unique staples.

When I did BT TWing, it was super easy. The pug raid steamrolled it.

The Stoneborn, Wardens, Kaldorei sentinels, and Sin’dorei spell breakers seem to get along well enough without all the self-mutilation and demonic possession.

See, this sort of thread bothers me, because once again it’s like, why on earth should any class/race be special or unique when it comes to weapon use, what race can be what etc…

That’s what I originally appreciated about WoW waaaaay back in the day (TBC is when I started). Only certain races could be certain things. I think that it should be the same way with warglaives. I love the fact that my DH is the only one that can use them.

Nah, though the Warglaives of azzinoth mog I think should be an exception to the rule. Y’all have earned them when you beat us in Outland.

yes

Seeing as no other class gets to be special and have one specific weapon type, yeah unlock glaives for the classes that can actually use them. Contrary to what DH main 109483752 would tell you, there isn’t some magical mechanism that is required to use a warglaive, Illidan actually stole the concept from night elf warriors and sentinels.

I don’t have a problem with this but it seems weird

A good point, I shall add it to my future discussions of the topic  Something other than DH should be able to use glaives or every class should have a special weapon only they can use :man_shrugging:

DH in all technicality stole glaives from warriors. Before the self mutilating demon hunters there are normal folks that easily use glaives just as well. I’m kinda seeing a pattern on how DH players steal everything not only abilities but weapons too.

Yea verily. More like to thieves than hunters they are.
