Warglaives and Transmog

I get it.

I like punching stupid just as much as the next old guy, but it’s not a fair contest. You get the best of them and they just start spamming the report button.

Imagine arguing about random things on a thread about warglaives.

Then there are none, if you can’t accept “We don’t have resource” a simple answer to “Why does feature X doesn’t happen”, then no, there are none.

Bylbee got asked why it took so long to make SL human faces
Bylbee said resource is the problem
Resource in video game = time and manpower
Face and model is done by the art team
Weapon remodel is done by the art team
Just connect the dot.

There you go, buddy.

It’s because you lack the capability to see it, not because the answer isn’t there.

I don’t do mental gymnastics, so I guess I’ll be forever blind.

You are blind.

You probably thought why no one tried to breathe in the sun when nobody ever proved that they can’t.

Me: “This argument would be pointless because neither side can prove one side as right”

You: “Wrong.”
Also You: “I can’t prove my side right”

I did warn you. I know that, to you, because you think it, it must be true, but unfortunately, reality doesn’t work that way.

Trying to argue two opinions based on likelihood as right… lmao. There’s a reason religion is so divided.

Are you also done editing your post?

As much as I’d love mogging glaives on my monk as WW, because with the choice of dope rapiers or twin Thunderfuries, I would never mog glaives as outlaw, it’s kind of a meh imo.

It does seem inconsistent, and the reason stated, ’ and we do not want to diminish the value of that unique reward.’ referring to Timewalk BT, sounds a bit bunk to me. (TW BT isn’t hard. It’s not CMs, or Green Fire, or Mage Tower. It’s likely possible that battling RNGesus to get BOTH glaives to have gotten the achieve was more time consuming than TW BT)

This is how I lost trust level 3 four times in a month.

Punching stupid is an addiction.

The world needs more of it. Someday many years from now it will come back around and common sense will become common again. Until that day the idjits who somehow think that their opinion is the only one that matters and everyone else must be silenced will reign.

I wish you luck or at the very least happy punching

Yep.
This awkward exclusivity is terrible.

Coding the legendary items so that they function like every other legendary mog is much simpler than placing stricter requirements.
Refrain from telling people they haven’t worked in a real industry when you seemingly lack experience in the industry.

Dude if you don’t know what we’re talking about dont chime in.

Because you lack the capability to comprehend the obvious, when a producer said they lack resource, it mean they lack manpower or time, they will not make it more obvious than that.

We have seen Blizzard do HD remakes and how drastically better they look (Looking at you ToS Tier Sets) and I feel this could be a fair compromise. Let players transmog the original 2007 Warglaives and give DH’s who do the unlock process get exclusive, shiny, HD versions of the original Warglaives instead.

As a DH main who busted her @** farming for the regular glaives in bt, and then timewalking, spending about 5 hours wiping over and over, and having a pulsating headache afterwards, I would be okay with this. I’m glad you said this, because I wouldn’t want all that hard work just ripped from me, and just given to other players with not a lot of effort put into it.

If they add a unique reward for Demon Hunters to replace the Warglaive’s exclusivity that’s fine.

Just make the Warglaives of Azzinoth transmoggable by all eligible classes.

Man, this thread has really exploded since I stepped away! Glad to see there is discussion on both sides on this topic

That’s exactly what happens. The High Elf thread is a good example of flag abuse and the other day a certain mistweaver group in a certain discord conspired together and mass flagged several of Metrohaha’s posts then bragged about it both in the thread he was flagged in and Discord.

Flag abuse is out of hand on the Forums and has been for quite a few months, more and more people like Veranarana are getting bold and actively promoting the abuse of the flag system (And yes, its abuse. My post was unhidden via moderation team)

False flagging is bad and eventually its going to catch up with people

Yeah, the worst part being that apparently this had been brought up quite a bit on the PTR to nothing but silence. Reminds me how Azerite Armor was handled during the beta, tons of feedback/discussion and nothing but silence in return.

Poor Shaman have had it rough all expansion as well XD No class changes for 8.0, Blizz says its been pushed back to 8.1. Patch 8.1 hits with no Shaman changes, Ion in his Reddit AMA says that they won’t be reworked until the next expansion. Blizzcon 2019 Hollinka announces no one is getting any class changes past unpruning. Like… I honestly feel bad for Shaman

Its really concerning to me that it seems par for the course lately.

Along with the fact they have been able to do so over a decade before the DH class came into existence. I get both sides of this but I feel like a medium can be reached. Sure, probably not in 8.3 with how close it is but maybe in 8.3.5. DH’s should be rewarded for the work they put in to unlocking them, they should get something nice, but I think that everyone who has been able to use these glaives over the past 11 years shouldn’t just be gypped like this. Surely there is a middle ground that can be seen more favorably.

What?! Did I just hear [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?!?!

Except said Warglaives are still actually swords and listed as usable by multiple classes as listed in the tooltips.

I get where you are coming from with this, I really do, however I personally disagree in this case considering their existence well before DH’s existed as well as how long many people have been using them/wearing them to this day out of pride.

I don’t think that DH’s should be left high and dry, I think they should get something unique and nice for the effort as I outlined but I personally think its unfair to players who have had and used the originals well before DH’s ever came into existence as a player class.

Off topic real fast, I really hope they add a green tint. I absolutely LOVE the new tint illusions and hope we get more.

Ooooh, that would be cool as well actually and I didn’t think about that. Some cool purple Warglaives of Azzinoth would be pretty cool. That would be neat though.

Yeah. Going slightly off topic, I have always been envious that we never got the Spellbreaker glaives that Blood Elf guards wear. Glaives are super cool weapons and I kinda hope with Chromie Time coming in 9.0 that maybe DH’s get some more glaive options that are currently not available.

See, that was my argument and why I brought up Shadowmourne and Thunderfury. The choice on Blizzard’s part is inconsistent in my view and loosely makes sense. The argument Blizzard is making could be just as loosely applied to Thunderfury, Shadowmourne, Atiesh (Btw, anyone with Atiesh still you guys are going to be the talk of the town haha XD), Dragonwrath, and Val’anyr as well and make just as little sense.

Oh I 100% agree, that would be the worst if they just simply gave it to everyone without giving DH’s something in return for putting in the effort to unlock them like they did.

I don’t want to see anyone wronged in this situation and feel there has to be a medium that can be reached.

See, that’s what I am saying. I don’t want DH’s to get punished, especially if they put in the work for the original unlock questline but I also feel its unfair to punish literally every other class that can use the original legendary items.

I unlocked the appearance for my DH by doing it on my warrior. You just have to defeat Illidan in BT TW on a toon that has the warglaives on them. It does not have to be on a DH and DH only.

Oh? I thought you had to do in on a DH.

If that’s the case, the argument for making it exclusive holds even less water.

You made the comment about resources and time investment.
I pointed out how you are mistaken on both. Your attempt at a dismissal does not work. If you don’t understand what you are discussing at that basic level then you’re not really qualified to try and dismiss others.
