Firstly, sorry if this is the wrong form for this kind of questions.
While working on gearing my alts I was suddenly afflicted by a sudden touch of nostalgia for the Warfront sets. Since I have a max level Evoker with mostly Normal Raid gear, I decided to do some.
For context, my Evoker has not done any of the content from past expacs, only Dragonflight.
Unfortunately, the NPC for Warfronts was not in my Evoker’s version of Boralus. I tried to go to Chromie in Stormwind, but the option to do BFA content was no longer available.
So now I must ask: Is there a way to unlock Warfronts without doing BFA content, or do I have to go through them.
To unlock access to the Warfronts feature, you will need to level a character to 50 and complete a short, introductory quest line to each Warfront. You must do the quest lines with one character of each faction to unlock both Horde and Alliance Warfront access account-wide.
Not sure if there have been any changes since but I think you might have to do BFA content, at least the chapters of the war campaign where you unlock the main hubs in each of the zones on the other continent. Seems a lot of BFA’s “max level content” is locked behind those three chapters. And then the actual questlines that lead into the warfronts.
That may be a problem. I have a hunter that did go through BFA content and the related quests. Warfronts are available for him but not for my evoker nor any of my >lvl 50 alts. My alts cant even see the NPCs.
Thanks for the info all the same. I’ll just have to look deeper into this.
Is your hunter Horde by any chance? The support post I linked did say that you have to do it for both factions at least once for it to be truly account wide. Otherwise it is just account wide to that specific faction.
I feel like they would have to rework it to make it faster. Even if you get people in the queue (I think it will pop you in a 5 man group) the activity takes foreeever to progress. I imagine it being much slower solo.
Start with the dwarf near the inn in Boralus, you can skip a lot, but will need to do a bit of questing to open it. I did this recently and had to go to the heart chamber a couple of times, as well as getting to the point where you open up WQs in Nazjatar.
