Is there any differences between the two difficulties rewards? I am looking to get the tier 3 warfront sets (the most elaborate set) but I am not sure if I have to do the heroic or can I just stick with normal?

You have to do Heroic for the fancier sets.

iirc doing normal gives 1 normal and 1 heroic piece, heroic gives 2 heroic pieces
Do you know this for sure or is this just an assumption?
Yes, this is a fact. To get the heroic versions, aka the fancier sets, you have to do heroic warfronts.

Okay, thanks. Is there any news that Heroic will be soloable? Finding a group is impossible.
No. Both can give the elite pieces of the set, the elite pieces only drop from the chest from the quests (Normal and Heroic quests).

According to this I’m wrong, but I have no pieces of the highest set, because I never ran Heroic and I always did the weekly quest. So I’m a tad confused.
- Warfront Mythic Set: Armor pieces using the most elaborate appearance of the Warfront tint are obtained randomly from the Warfronts Equipment Cache, a reward given from the quest, Warfront: The Battle for Darkshore, for winning the Battle for Darkshore Warfront scenario for the first time during a cycle. You can also obtain one or two pieces from the Darkshore World Boss, Ivus the Forest Lord/Ivus the Decayed.
yeah, this post is showing different answers. I am confuse as well. I can never get an accurate answer for this set pieces lol… blizz is something else man
You can only get the elite pieces from the quests for both normal and heroic, that’s it. That’s the only way you can get the “fancier” elite pieces. Do you understand?
I’m really sorry. 
The guides tell me what I linked to you. But I was always told that the Heroic version dropped the highest pieces. And I did a Warfront quest for a bag of goodies every week and never got any of those pieces. The only piece I have is a belt that dropped from Ivus.
And the guides are only citing the Arathi Warfront quest, as well, which is even more odd. The transmog window won’t show me the sets, but let me check Better Wardrobe and see what it says.

i joined a few community warfront groups to gather items. that seemed to help but i havent been consistent in trying to collect everything either.
Normal, and heroic Arathi fronts drop Honorbound items. Only difference is the item levels. Same with Darkshore. Darkshore warfronts you get the Blightguard set. I liked warfronts and wish they would bring something similar back.
This is wrong. Both normal and heroic give you the elite appearance set, however, if you do Heroic it’ll count for normal too.
