He’s doing 20-30k damage a tick with “Rats!” in the Twisting Corridors areas.
Issue is that the damage is NOT what the tool tip for the ability says.
It says it’ll do 800 damage a tick. It does 20k a tick. Coupled with 30k crits from the Warden, and a charge stun you die in seconds and have no way to fight back. This in turn causes the damage stacks to get higher which exacerbate the problem.

I got him on layer 8 floor 18, rats was ticking for about 150+k and i had 200+k as tank, the only way to interrupt it was with the anima power that slows casting of nearby enemies, a few minutes ago was helping a friend with layer 8 got him as final boss on floor 18 no reduced casting anima power and i couldnt interrupt him, his melee attacks were destroying me too going from no stagger to full in 1 swing.
Floor 18 bosses have way too much health and if we dont have some op builds that one shot things things get messy really, really fast.
Prob somu dmg and health tunning would help other people enjoy TC, i know i dont really enjoy, just did to get rid of it and never have to return there.
Got him on Layer 8 Floor 18 of Twisting Corridors. My partner and I reached him with 9 lives saved. We never ‘wiped’ on a TC/Torghast Tower layer before (even before Torghast got ‘fixed’). Both of us lost all 9 lives within 5 minutes trying to beat him. We managed to get him to 50% before a complete wipe. Both of us are 200+ ilvl. Looking back at the logs, it was ‘Rats!’ that ticked away both of us for a total of 700k damage to him and 337k to me. That was despite us interrupting 4 times and stunning him. One Rats spell gets off, and it’s an instant wipe.

So has blizzard accepted this as a bug? everything posted below is true. Rats = death, fast casting need a power to even attempt consistent interrupts. Encountered him on level 12 and just scraped by with a few deaths. floor 18, only able to get to 60-ish % . I am requesting either a hot fix so I do not waist several more hours of my life in disappointment. or acknowledgment that it is blizzards intentions to have such a boss in TC.

I have to agree with this that regardless of if the rats are bugged, which I lean towards are since was getting 44k ticks at layer 6 boss, Warden Skoldus falls into a category that the insane scaling of 3rd Layer Bosses easily makes him impossible as a solo melee on higher difficulties.
In general most quick cast abilities might as well be instant cast for bosses if you don’t have a specific anima power, which is stupid with how powerful scaling makes them.
As for this boss specifically its also a matter that he has a random (or at least I never could see a pattern) enrage that over doubles his damage done that on higher levels makes it so he’ll likely 2 shot you before you can get get away even popping a movement ability and/or slow.
Layer 6 for me as my end boss and his preramp up melee would do 30k and then the enrage would make him hit for over 80k a melee. I had a 180k HP and I’d normally be at sub 10% hp if I started at full HP before I could get out of his range and trying to save stuns or defensives for that would just plain lead to running out of them before he was even 50%.
Really feel like you have to have a pet class or be a ranged class to do this boss at higher levels.

The same for me! Layer 8 after to much try i got to im at last! Impossible to kill him! 150k damage one shot! Man i have been losing a lot of my real life time because of that! Cant believe nobody put that in those weekly reset since 2 week! Read your forum blizzard! Honestly he killed me like three time on different layers but this one is too much. Do something please!

And another 2 try this morning… Guess what… Skoldus warden again on last boss twice!!! Wow another 4h lost this morning. Still have to reach floor 15 to see that i have to start again!!! Can we please have an answer about that!

Can confirm. Doing floor 6, Rats! skill is impossible to interrupt and damage is too much. What a waste of life. At least give us some small amount of soul ash for staying 'till the end of the run.

Having just gotten Skoldus as my Layer 8, Floor 18 boss, I can confirm it is not impossible to interrupt, though the damage is still unsurvivable without something like a pally bubble (or the Kyrian potion) to remove it.
It just takes focus, reaction speed, and always having your finger over your interrupt waiting for it, and a mobility skill to chase him after he charges. If you get stunned you’re probably dead. If you can’t close to melee within a second after his charge you might be dead, though he was usually casting in the order of charge -> traps -> rats, so if he maintains that consistent loop you’ve got time to get to him while he’s laying traps and be ready to interrupt shortly afterward.
It’s hard, and there’s basically no margin for error, but doable, at least as a Brewmaster monk - rolling to follow his charge is invaluable. And I’m only at 176 ilevel so it’s not about outgearing it - you just have to be on point with every interrupt, every single time.
Hey blizzard, do you guys check the tuning on anything? This guy has two different abilities that one shot, hits like a truck with his regular melee and rats cast time is insanely fast. Got this idiot twice in a row on layer 7 TC and was not survivable even as a reasonably geared tank. This boss needs nerf immediately.

Save a little time, look at the little hologram next to the vendor on the 15th floor, don’t like the boss displayed there, hearth.

I ran into this NPC doing the 1st clue/ 2nd clue part on floor 12.
He has 887K Hitpoints as a decent geared paladin tank could only get him down to 50% before getting killed. 3 x 25K hits in a row, so fast i can’t even heal myself. And sometimes I would heal and seemed to lose health right away. (weird) Sure I was soloing, but nothing has been this bad before. I guess another quest to hang up and put away. I thought Torgast was a variable number of player dungeon. guess not anymore~!
Don’t know if the post is still alive but same thing first 17 floors no problem as outlaw rogue 60+ anima powers not a scratch on me and then he puts me in the dirt 6 times in a row at ilvl 181 the rats are stoppable but with the seemingly infinite stacking rage after like 4 stacks he does half my hp with a hit
Definitely needs to be fixed. Just lost a floor 18 twisting corridors run due to this. a 30k hit from rats. after taking a 40k crit from an auto attack (yes I am being serious). and also trying to interrupt that 1 second cast is practically impossible for me since Im constantly focused on moving and checking my ability timers (as fury youre pretty much looking at your abilities 90% of the time)
