The Tyrande and Warden set is gated for a year, knowing damn well some people may have to take breaks and you say you are concerned about FOMO players? If this is true, this is not how you treat FOMO player base. You would make the availability to all through a non-cycling, quest.

Its… annoying I admit it was the big ticket item I was going to save for myself. I wish it was just another item rather then tied to an achievement but you can at least take breaks it isn’t 12 in a row.
It sucks but you can just treat it as not in stock.

Unless your argument is regarding players who have to take unpaid breaks from WoW, ie: gametime lapse and therefore can’t sign in… doesn’t the Warden set basically mean sign in and loot a box once a month? Are we certain, for the sake of argument here… that it’s -only- looting the box at the start of the month that gives credit? When we fill the monthly bar, is it automatically awarded, or do we re-open the box… if we re-open the box, does that count a second time? While the set, if I recall, states 12 times or something of that nature… and it’s easy to suspect it’s once a month for a year… and I’m speaking as someone who hasn’t dabbled with it on the PTR, but what if the items you buy get dumped into the box as well? That means it could be 4 months or less if you buy an item each month… again, my post is raw speculation with no first hand experience with the system, but unless there’s proof against my speculation, they’re fair points to contest the 12 month argument going around
The entire basis for the conversation is WoWHead data mining which found that you have to finish the special monthly reward 12 times. Typically, monthly means once per month.

Thanks, while fair about “monthly” verbage and such, datamining isn’t a reliable source of data… it just shows a plausible argument… I’ve been here long enough that my optimism towards Blizzard should have faded… and the last two xpacs should have killed the spark that remained… but, here I am

I am truly upset by this. The wait has been going on for a long time for such items as this and to gate it behind something that is unfair for every player is disgusting.
I think what irks is that in a cosmetic shop one single cosmetic was singled out to be treated differently.

It is a high ticket item and it’s a full set, technically not a single cosmetic… optically I wonder if people would feel the same if it was 1 piece available each month for as little as 200 credits… still gated to 8-12 months depending on how many pieces are actually in the set… but optics wise, I wonder if it would be complained about in the same way, and missing a month would mean you’d miss one of the items… I dunno… I like the idea of the trading post, and datamining is hit and miss… I’ll reserve my judgments til… wednesday, you know, after I read the 400 posts complaining about maintenance 1/31/2023 
Hard to say. I assumed it would just of been priced heavily myself. I imagine if people were set on a particular mount or pet they would be annoyed to if it was taken out specifically and time gated.
Its not the end of the world but I can see why its irritating.

You can get it while being subbed for as little as six total months. You get credit for the first day you log in during any given month. Sub from the 15th of one month to the 15th of the next and you get two different months’ credit.
That is a given
