You can be competitive without being hateful, there definitely needs to be more competition in the MMO world though.

I was just reading something the other day which stated the lead guy from FF was praising wow and admitted he had been invited to Blizzard a few times (I don’t recall if he’d actually gone)
Anyone with an ounce of intelligence who still works at Blizzard knows that at any day or time their position can go poof.
They’ll want to keep their options open.

Yeah I think I worded it wrong.
From the outward appearance of things (as i don’t play FF) it would appear as though they adapted and improved their game based off customer needs, whereas WoW has enjoyed “success”’ from shadowlands just because of its name really. Obviously opinion only but this is just another xpac that’s a worse version of Legion. They need to reformulate imo.
There are terrorist cells friendlier than this place.

I was trying to figure out a response to OP but I think this covers it. Also I hope OP created this thread to spur positive discussion but I have my suspicions.
If you’re losing sleep over a video game, you might want to rethink some stuff!

i don’t think there’s any hiding that the MMO genre is up for grabs in 2021 and beyond. There’s no “king” at all imo, and i don’t think sub numbers or time played metrics tell the whole story for any of these companies…blizz included.
Believe it or not, most people in the industry root for each other.
They aren’t sad fanboys trolling the other games forums.
