Cartoonish, like Alpha from FF XIV. It suits the style of Mario’s character design better and I love the old school cartoon style Chocobos. Biggest issue is finding a talented enough tattoo artist to be able to pull the whole thing off.
Its going to be a large tattoo and detailed, needs to be perfect.
You know you people ruined the concept of tattoos, right? Not getting tattoos is now the “social statement” equivalent of getting them 15 years ago.
“Uhh I’m not making a statement, I just want everyone to see this commercial game image that I like so much I decided to permanently mark my body with it.”
Yeah, okay. Good work… Go get some cheek piercings now to show how unique you are.
Yeah but what you said makes no sense. It is the ramblings of someone who failed to make a point.
Are you for or against tattoos?
Do you think tattooing something from a game that you like is dumb or do you like it?
You just smashed away at your keyboard and made some nonsensical gibberish.
So your issue is with what other people like to do with their bodies?
You know that tattoos are about self representation for a lot of people. Inking them self with something that holds meaning to them.
WoW (regardless of what you think of its current state) has been around for 15 years now. Thats half of my life time. People have invested thousands of hours of their lives into this world. With friends and families.
People have made life long friends through this game. People have lost those friends to illness and age over the years. I flew from Australia to the US, just to meet a few of my guild members. Because of how close we had all grown over the years through this game. A lot of us dont play WoW anymore since BfA but we all still commmunicate. We recently started a fortnightly DnD campaign… from across the other side of the planet.
Relationships have been made through this game. My GM met her husband through WoW. Children have been born because their parents met through this game.
This game has saved people from crippling depression, anxiety and even suicide. It has been an escape for children around the world suffering with all manner of terminal illnesses. It has been a gathering place for people who cant meet in real life to mourn loved ones they spent their nights with, clearing raids and slaying internet dragons.
Its not just WoW, its anything. Mario isnt just a corporate mascot for a lot people. Its a representation of their child hood. Its a memory of an age that can not be gotten back but can be used as a permanent reminder of the good times, growing up when all that mattered was if you were going to finally beat your older brother at a round of Mortal Kombat. Or helping your little sister clear that one underwater stage she was stuck on.
Does it effect you in any way shape or form if someone gets an Alliance lion tattooed on their shoulder or a pepsi logo on their shin? I admire the people who can openly express their love for something they hold so dear. And I feel sorry for people like you who fail to understand why someone would get a tattoo from an anime or video game or movie. Because you clearly have failed to realise what getting inked is all about.
Guess I hit a nerve there. No, it doesn’t affect me. I mean, beyond a “lol that’s stupid” reaction. The same reaction you’d have if you saw someone with the apple logo tattooed on their neck.
You assume to know me. I dont have a connection with Apple but I can see why someone (during the Jobs age of Apple) might have tattooed the Apple logo on them selves but I wouldnt think they were stupid. I would find the subject matter weird but not stupid.
The only stupid tattoos are ones made while under the influence of alcohol or ones done by backyard “tattooist”… usually while drunk.
No one should ever, EVER, get inked on a whim while drunk.
