What do greens always do?

Do more of these but also implement these as a scenario in game.

That’s the prob with blizz’s lore, too much of it is outside the game where most won’t find it or know about it.

Exactly and there’s tools to implement everything in game, you could do a scenario and instead of using your chararacter, you can use Chromie.

Just like the MoP questlines on which you used Rikko, Shokia…etc, there should be more gameplay and not just novels and stories outside the game.

“You are of the Horde, naturally your visage should be that of a human female”

I’m sure the comment section here will be not controversial at all

I like these short stories. I’d like to see more of them.

Lots of things to like about the story. The presentation of what the visage decision does or could mean to various dragons was well done.

Ultimately choosing to be a gnome, and the reasons behind it, were explained well.

Ultimately choosing to be a female was provided no reason other than “it suits me”. By comparison to the decision of being a gnome, it feels incredibly flat and meaningless. The story could’ve done a much better job informing this particular aspect of the decision.

For example:

Chromie’s decision to be a female doesn’t need to fall flat to tokenism. Chromie spent an enormous amount of time contemplating this decision, and it betrays the character’s development to relegate the reasoning down to “just because”.

The worst one was Callia. In legion if you played priest order hall, you saw her alive and well. Fully human. Then suddenly she popped up in BFA as a lightforged forsaken with minimal explanation of some event that didn’t happen ingame but in the books where Sylvannas killed her…utterly dumb. And somehow her soul didn’t go to the maw and was able to be resurrected too.

That’s exactly the kind of thing I worried about the moment I saw Steve (ughff, sorry threw up in my mouth a lil) Danuser’s name on this Story.

Chromie’s incredibly sensitive and long contemplated decision reduced to “TEEHEE IDK LULZ”.

GTFO STEVE! You can’t write! LEAVE BLIZZARD STEVE!

Does this mean Chromie will take over the Bronze Dragonflight once Murozond dies?

Nice read! Thanks for the content.

A canonical look into the social living of dragons. Or at least, the Bronzes. Nice.

This was really good! I love Chromie and it was really interesting visiting some of my favorite dragons, Onyxia and Alexstrasza especially.

I liked being able to see why they make the decisions they do with their visages and why Chromie made the decision she did. It was cool seeing the different perspectives.

I would love to see more!

That’s some nice virtue signaling calling a magical dragon trans lol but whatever at this point. Danuser needs to go write for scholastic or something lol

It’s a virtue signal and wag the finger story which ruined otherwise a good plot.

Chromie didn’t pick the visage because it was his identity. He picked the visage to virtue signal to the mortals of Azeroth.

Chromie responded thoughtfully, “Many heroes and conquerors among the mortal races are towering figures offering much to admire in the way of beauty, strength, or genius. Even amongst the gnomes, most noteworthy members of their society—and even the mechagnomes from which they originate—are male.”

Chromie took a thoughtful breath, then continued, "I do not wish to draw any attention to myself.

The ironic part of the last statement is exactly what Chromie got by picking a Gnome female he got his “Attention”.

The idea of the story was fantastic but the reasoning seemed political rather than organic in my opinion.

People got his name in their mouth, and now they can’t let it go. All things considered, I think the narrative team did the best they could with the disaster Afrasiabi left them. Now we can start a new chapter and hopefully do better.

I agree also, Dragonflight has some great threads to it.

This is an old story, so I do not know why it is reposted as new.

It’s one thing to have issues with how someone writes, it’s another to start insulting someone on who they are because you don’t like their stories. I hope you get a forum vacation.

This person and those that have the same mentality love to throw insult at Steve Danuser when he can write a decent to good story given a chance and which dragonflight operates as a clean slate.
