Warcraft Series: Would you rather

and we don’t really need one…

The only thing movies and tv do are mess up the lore. There may be a few exceptions to the rule out there, but even the Warcraft movie itself had people looking and going… “That’s no what happened.” plus if it flops, it is just one more thing the community has to throw in their faces. I’d rather they focus on the game, and the new lore, and less about breaking into the cartoon business. But again, that’s just me.

It’s not “Needed” but it is optional …

If something is sorely desired yet not necessarily ‘needed’ – it doesn’t mean Blizzard should actively & strictly go against it solely because it’s not something that’s required … Arcane wasn’t needed or required either, yet again – Tremendous success.

Additionally, arguing “plus if it flops” as an argument @ whether or not to do something – is conjecture yet again. :person_shrugging:

Animated like their cinematics of old, always wanted more of that style, in shorts or full length episodes.

Animation.

I think something like Castlevania would fit best.

Well, I’ve never even heard them hint or whisper about wanting to do it. Also, you’re comparing apples to onions. Two completely different franchises. I’m sure if they wanted to pursue something, they would have done it in 2016 on the heels of the movie. You seem pretty obsessed with Arcane. But I guess everyone likes different things

(since you like to add shrugs to every post, I thought this might help)

You don’t need one.

Just had to clarify that :+1:

We as in me and the 13 people who are talking about it in Discord who think it is a waste of time and resources just because some people are Anime fans and play League of Legends.

Just had to clarify that

You are a god among men, brother.

Neither. Keep the cinematic in the game where they belong.

We had a Warcraft movie and it was mid to confusing to most.

tell me something I don’t know lol. Like I’ve been saying this whole time it is literally just my opinion. And as I was expressing that opinion to 13 other people in discord, it became theirs too.

I understand that blizzard could have their own animation team the way they already do and they could put that animation team in charge of making an animated series which is entirely possible. But I feel like if they were gonna jump into an animated series, they would’ve done it a decade ago before the movie or shortly after it.

They are already short on time trying to balance stuff and turn out new content. I don’t think they have time to even sit and write up a short story, let alone an entire series. And if the current content is any indicator of what the short series would look like we are all screwed. So rather than be disappointed, I’d rather just say no I don’t want one.

I mean you didn’t receive much hints or whispers with Arcane, Castlevania, Mario, Fallout, Minecraft or other video-game adaptions either :person_shrugging:

Pot calling the kettle there :joy:

Different times are better for different things.
Additionally, it may not had come to mind or been up for consideration at the time.

  • Honestly, them doing it straight after as well – or at the same time of the movie, would’ve been incredibly poor timing anyway.

As for “pretty obsessed with Arcane” – Not quite, it simply serves as a good viable example.

However as you said →

I guess everyone likes different things :dracthyr_shrug:

yeah, I’m all done with this topic. Nothing really left to say.

No worries buddy, you wrote your opinion and your take on things; as opposed to others

Thanks for participating.
Here’s your participation award :trophy:

it’s OK it was just another blood elf post anyway. This whole thread is going to archive itself sometime in the next three weeks and the topic of discussion will never pop up again so we appreciate you giving us a laughable distraction from all of the other more serious threads here. It was nice to take a break and talk about something that was absolutely innocuous and benign. :blue_heart::pray:t3:

Hey, don’t throw the rest of us in with Erevien :joy:
We’re not like those — male human paladin posters :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

“Topic of discussion never pop up again” ??
Warcraft being pitched as a tv show or series has popped up quite a few times :joy:

That’s like arguing a High Elf thread is going to archive (which it would) and the topic of discussion will never pop up again, lmao — as much as I’d love for that one to be true, it’s rather doubtful.

I’m glad you saw the reason in the thread being innocuous and benign though
:face_exhaling: I did want more of that around, as at the time when I made this thread there was a lot of aggressive ones out & about the forums.

Nothing personal against you, but every time I step into a blood elf thread, this one included I already suspect it was loaded with trolling and a healthy dose of Idiocracy. I wasn’t disappointed. :blue_heart:

Animation every day of the week.

i want a budget/quality of ufotable (not the art style just the quality) doing any fate series for warcraft. the more important question is would it last long enough to get from the beginning to frozen throne? cause i would prefer a long running show doing the entire story even stuff from wow but if i cant get that i want arthas story

I mean, I didn’t really see all too much trolling & idiocracy in this thread

  • People can have disagreements with one another about theoretical concepts without it being labelled as ‘idiocracy’ or ‘trolling’

When you’re discussing facts, statistics and accountable numbers in correlation to a subject – Obviously the matter gets a bit more open for those two things; as there’s those that can parrot the word “Echo-Chamber” as an attempt to invalidate or simply dismiss what they don’t want to hear (may be true in some few cases, not certainly not all) → along with those who’re frequently demanding sources but scarcely provide such themselves.

 But as for this subject in particular, I think neither opinion on it’s success is really ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ — as we won’t know until such actually arrived.
