If ‘Warcraft’ were to have a confirmed show series, would you rather:
- High Budget Live-Action show, akin to ‘Game of Thrones’ ?
- or a High Budget Animation show, akin to ‘Arcane’ ?
And what stories / narratives within the Warcraft universe would you like them to follow? …

Animation by a mile.
We don’t want humans to be the only race that looks “right”

This one. I haven’t seen arcane, but I hear it’s great. That’s the aspect I’d most like for a warcraft series.

This one. Warcraft is too intentionally campy to take seriously in a live action.
We need full size orc shoulders and only animation could deliver that with a straight face.

Probably an Animation. Too many characters in WoW have a very distinct image of what they should look like. Animation could achieve it 1:1.
For example, as much as I love Travis Fimmel, I just couldn’t really click with him as Anduin Lothar.

Animation. They won’t cast someone I dislike as one of my favorite lore characters that way.

If the animated series is CGI and done by the same people and with the same detail/skill as WoW trailers.

An animated series about the rise & fall of Sylvanas would be fun.

Animation all the way. They’d be able to do a lot more. And it would look a lot more cohesive.
Although. If Jim Hensons studio did the live action version I’d probably like it. With puppets and all that for Tauren, Vulpera, etc.
Story Id like to see, something with the Horde or Night Elves. Nothing that is purely orc and human. Azeroth has more to offer than that.

Neither. Claymation. I want to see a Wallace wearing judgement armor going on adventures.

Animation. A live action would be 99% CGI anyways

… I am strangely on-board with this idea.
Provided Wallace goes to this specific Cheese Shop:

That snapshot storytelling they did with Demon Hunters.
This one I think.
I want them to start early. With the human and Gnoll wars and then add in some stuff about the Gurubashi and Human issues in Stormwind and then work into First War.
Motion comic style like Harbingers was.
Thought I’d add — Towards the ‘animation’ show, you could also have such akin to ‘Castlevania’
Honestly, I think they’d have far more flexibility and freedom with an animation too.
… Not to mention less stress about conflicts @ their casting choices, etc
- Albeit the voice-cast would still play a role somewhat, however if they’re smart about it – I’m sure they’ll manage … Keyword: ‘If’
Personally I’d love if Henry Cavil voiced Arthas T’would be fitting as heck.
