Warcraft Logs Issue

Hoping someone can assist, as I think it may be user error. I try my best to log my M+ runs as much as possible and I’ve noticed my logs aren’t loading correctly.

Here’s my process: I run the Companion App in game. I always use the “/combatlog” command while the timer is counting down before a dungeon, and I then use the same command at the end of the dungeon. I will then find the file in the Companion app in the Upload a Log section, and select it. Once I then click View Report what ends up being logged is “Trash Fights” in Unknown Zone and never the actual dungeon. It’s incredibly frustrating. Any suggestions?

You can find logs online, wow already logs it

Where? On Warcraft Logs?

I guess i dont know, some psycho on here went thro all my m+ logs lol

No they do no. People use raider.io to look up your stuff. The API info comes from Blizz. But they do not keep logs themselves.

Do you have “Advanced Combat Logging” enabled in the game settings (Game Menu → System → Network)?

If another party or raid member is logging the fight, your combat stats will also be included in the log.

Yes, I do have Advanced Combat Logging enabled. I also realize if others are logging the fight my stats are included, but it’s very rare when that is the case when pugging.

I don’t log, so I’m not going to be much help. I did find this reddit post that suggested waiting a minute after you’ve finished the run to ensure all the data was written to the log:

I had another thought. Some addons like DBM or BigWigs can automate the logging. I wonder if you have an addon that is toggling off the logging at boss fights since you started it manually.
