I was thinking of buying Warcraft III Reforged. I mentioned this to people in a group and several said it was a dumpster fire. A few said they liked it. A few never heard of it.
So in order to make a final decision I would like to get your opinions so I can ascertain a consensus as to is Warcraft III Reforged worth the buy?
Oh and out of curiosity Have you even heard of this newer version of Warcraft III?
So. I have tried to play it on three separate occasions over two accounts. Not on this account tho. Each time, I got it refunded because of game breaking stuff. First time, couldn’t even launch the fake, second, servers were insanely unstable. Last time, it kept crashing. That’s all my experience with it. I play the og wc3 instead. Lol
Just bought it recently just to give it a go. Only a few missions in and I like it. Still have my old discs so I aim to play them again to see how it changes.
WC3:R isn’t bad. It’s just not as good as Blizzard had originally advertised.
Its fine. If you havent played WC3 its probably going to be great. As someone who wasnt even born when the original came out, i had a blast playing through it and it holds up really well. Blizzard did heavily under deliver on their promises (some of which I believe are still advertised on the store page iirc lol) but the game is still fun albeit a bit buggy at times.
How is the custom map scene there now? That was the main draw for me back in the day.
I still play certain games on the Starcraft II Arcade every week.
(For those not aware, “custom map” is a bad name for these, some are complete games in and of themselves. DoTA, for intsance, was originally a WCIII custom map)
