Warcraft Direct: When Something Is Wrong, You Make It Right

Why would anyone put that in a Gbank lol

Why can’t they restore items? Hello? Backups? Snapshots? Logs?

Gimme five minutes and I’ll make a list. Gimme ten and I can photoshop a picture of it too.

I’ll be that person. They barely even play the game.
Brann lvl 16 (this is boa progress), no raid progress outside of lfr, no dungeon prog above heroic.
Highest renown is 8. Looks like they only mine/herb.

Probably many other things, but I think digging that deep was enough.

Wanting to hold blizz accountable for lost items when you didn’t even lose anything…
But to be fair, you tend to be emotionally charged on topics like this just to bad mouth blizz. So I’m not surprised.

Why would they take snapshots of player’s inventories?
Logs are gone, the game isn’t backed up like you think it is you can’t just system restore the game to a previous state.

How I play or whether I lost anything doesn’t discount Blizzards big screw up.

It’ll be the collectors looking to shoot down your golden idol more than me.

They can restore a character deleted a decade ago, and up til recently they could restore any hacked guild bank back to pristine condition. But no suddenly they don’t keep any logs of any data for any players.

Yeah OP is just trolling at this point, and Ard is obviously the kind of person that he is.

Thread over I think.

Actually it shows how disingenuous you are. Especially when you post nonsense like this:

You are literally bandwagoning just to rip on blizzard. It’s VERY obvious.

100000% false outrage is just sad.

Oh ya, that was such a slap in the face when it happened, but the Blizzard community seems to take a lot of this with no resistance.

Or do we remember what happened when we had to pay money to keep our classic chars?

I don´t think game time would have been fair, but a compensation like the next expansion pack, a certain type of currency to spend in the shop… you know at least something.

Instead it´s radio silence, no explanation, no information, it´s just radio silence about the biggest bug that ever hit WOW in over 20 years. That is not a professional approach by a company worth billions.

What has happened to people, that failure is no longer considered as that and people responsible for it, no longer held responsible?

Look, I do not know who messed up, but knowing that there may be people working on a product that have wiped out the entire data of their customers, is not a very trustworthy environment.

We can not exist in a hello kitty universe where we let people ruin the achievements of others, just because their job is at danger.

exactly , just do not want to pay someone to do it imo.

They did keep logs, those logs got corrupted and are gone.
They have said this  multiple  times  .

If I want to support the disenfranchised collectors, then you can’t stop me.

Either way picking on me isn’t gana stop Blizzard looking bad.

Which means absolutely nothing because they didn’t perform any restoration. They couldn’t help but lie in their own official statement, then refuse to say anything further to anyone, including their own customer support staff. Heck the GMs are still telling people to submit bug reports so the devs know what to restore, and I’m pretty sure thats a dead end.

Because it’s a video game my dude. Not life and death. Nobody lost their lives over this. Players lost some pixels they don’t even own (see: ToS).

My question to everyone who lost stuff: how much longer are you going to keep paying your subs after this?

That still entitles them to be annoyed or outraged.

Until Blizzard does something aside from saying they’ve screwed up the bad PR is earned.

They don’t have to jump off the bandwagon because you don’t like seeing it.

Nobody said their feelings aren’t valid but nothing can be done, it’s as simple as that.

I can’t tell if you can’t read or if you can’t read.

Data. Is. Corrupted. They. Restored. What. They. Can.

Something something “Incomplete restoration”.

Their cms only know so much and can only say so much.
They aren’t devs combing through data trying to restore what they can.
