Seems like the worst time to get this out.
You could have brought this when you advertised BFA and it would have sold like hot cakes considering a LOT of Horde players were on Sylvanas’ side.
Now…I doubt you’ll find a lot of players sympathizing with her considering your canon where you destroyed the character people loved.

Selfish goals? It is clear as day how little most of you know about the lore much less Sylvanas. It is even more clear how little you guys know about warcraft lore before WoW. Sylvanas is, and has been exactly as she is being portrayed right now. Nothing has changed. I think both the BFA intro cinematic at the battle for Lordaeron and the Harbingers: Sylvanas Video alone should give people enough of an understanding of her motives but you will remain clueless.

a hero? No one touched by the scourge/jailer is a hero in the eyes of life and light
a villain? Only if you would consider someone like Nzoth to be a hero
The lack of understanding of both the lore and the primordial forces that make up the warcraft universe is clear as day in this thread.
If you think anyone or anything touched by the scourge is either good or evil, You are wrong. No she is not a villain in the eyes of the factions of death and chaos. No she is not a hero in the eyes of the factions of life, light, or order. She is exactly what she was made to be by frostmourn. She has been and still is a champion of death, Tainted by the scourge, an abomination to the light and a queen of banshees to the forces of death. She is her roll within the universe and her loathing of both the horde and alliance fits that perfectly.
As for the night elves, What did you expect she would do to a bunch of tree hugging druids and dryads. Burn mofos. Burn in hell. and take Ardenweald out as well.

What? Christe Golden’s novels are fun to read.
The last book Shadows Rising which wasn’t written by her was very boring and anticlimactic.

Player DKs who were touched by the scourge became heroes eventually after being freed, same with koltira and his friend. As for Sylvanas, its particulary laughably how they try to paint her as a hero when she is anything but.
Its like that nosense in 9.0 ptr with undead description that was changed due to backslash. Hilariously: “Though shunned by the living, you tirelessly strive to protect them.”
The monk got a point. This is just hilarious for all the wrong reasons. They really need to clean up and replace the bad out of both the lore writting team as well as the devs themselves…

Yeah, when I first started reading the books, I was largely advised “Knack bad, Golden good!” Now everyone’s turned on Golden so I don’t know who the “acceptable” writer is these days.

People turned on Golden because of certain characters being destroyed.
Funny thing is at that point, she had no control or no say about the overall arc and was brought in to write what the lead devs wanted.
People don’t have the guts to call out the real decision makers

What they did with deathknights is a joke in it’s own right. I do not deny that. This is what happens when you lay off everyone that had everything to do with the original writing and hire a bunch of sjw hippies that just can not come to terms with the reality around them much less a fictional story of death, necromancy, and evil.
Somethings are just bad because it is bad and it should not be painted with a pretty picture. I am glad someone somewhere decided to bring Sylvanas back to her undeath roots.
But alas we do not know what the arc they are aiming for here is. Regardless of redemption or damnation, They have already tainted the story beyond repair and butchered the game into a shell of what it once was. I hope the jailer wins at this point, I hope it is the end of warcraft forever. But it won’t be. Activision isn’t done milking this cash cow.
Terron Gorefiend is the only servant of death that maintained his calling and purpose until the end. He is the true hero of this story,
