Warcraft®: Sylvanas Now Available

I actually like Christie Golden.
I liked her take on Arthas, and I think I read a copy of every one of her Star Wars books at one time or another.

But I’m not spending money on Blizzard Lore again until they can actually figure out for themselves what’s cannon and what’s not.

I’m sure we’re all waiting with bated breath to read about that one flashback incident which apparently made her show some emotion because she got used by the Jailer in the same way she used others.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of people suddenly changed their opinion about her.

A sob story and a redemption arc with or without logic is the craze in today’s world.

It comes after Shadows Rising, which is after Before the Storm.

so 9.1 comes out in november?

Sounds like you’re not ever spending a dime on their lore again, in that case. Everything is subject to retcon. We could find out that Azeroth is actually just a wart on some even bigger being’s cosmic butt, next expansion, despite having seen the planet from space aboard the Vindicaar.

…BAHAHAHAHA…Hahaha…oh man thanks!

This should be people’s opinion by now or they should prepare to be disappointed again.

That’s about right, unfortunately.

Besides her life before the RTS where she died what don’t we know about her? Like she has been a pretty much up and front character in WoW and warcraft in general. Is this just putting to paper the story of the RTS-Now?

A book of Rexxar’s adventures would have been a smash hit. End it with him meeting Thrall.

This? Yeah more “Hey look she has emotions guysss isn’t it wonderful!”

I actually really liked Before The Storm.

Hey, the broad gets her own novel named after her. Good for her and her fans. Hopefully it isn’t a clown show.

Any character besides the unofficial mascot would be more enjoyable. We have had so much Sylvanas over the years what else could they possibly show us in the book?

To those bemoaning the authorship, it could be worse. Richard Knaak could have written it, in which case it would be 3,000 pages and still nothing would happen.

I’ve been trying to finish his War of the Ancients trilogy for a decade now and just keep putting it away.

Maybe this is to appease Loyalists who expected Blizzard to cater to their needs beyond BFA when it was clear Blizzard wanted nothing to do with it

dont forget barne’s & noble

Yeah maybe right? But anyone who thought blizzard was mid expansion suddenly adding in story elements that the player could weave to a degree was insane. They have constantly shown that if it causes more work they don’t do it or don’t do it for long.

Something is seriously wrong at Blizzard.

They just had to write something about Lothar, Rexxar, Rokhan or any other beloved character and people would have loved them.

They’re pushing this willing to sacrifice more goodwill in the players’ eyes when a lot of people despise their writing especially about Sylvanas

I was REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hoping they were trying to silently replace Golden with Roux.
No such luck.

It would probably make more in the end, Deluxe Edition includes the pillow, not just the case!
