Warbound Until Equipped drops from raid bosses ignore loot lockouts

Posting this here because this is very obviously a bug (and there are people, very much not involved in the Race to World First scene, that are exploiting this like crazy), but currently raid bosses can still drop their Warbound Until Equipped items even after you’ve killed them for the week which is leading to a few bad actors having absurdly good gear (like, gear you wouldn’t even be able to obtain outside of the luckiest split runs) and hilarious numbers of boss kills when they should be loot locked for the week.

There are currently multiple players, from multiple guilds on US-Illidan that have very little competitive raiding history, with significantly better gear than even the most geared Liquid/Echo/Method/Instant Dollars raiders, and I know with absolute certainty that the unheard of guilds in question do not have the time and resources that Liquid/Echo/Method/ID have. We’re talking full 4sets, multiple Very Rare items, etc.

And the real kicker? All of these players have 10+ kills of each of the first eight Heroic bosses, and nearly 20 Heroic Ansurek kills.

Please fix this ASAP! I was planning on joining pug Normals/Heroics on bosses I’m loot locked on to get some more practice but I’m not going to do it if there’s such a blatant, banworthy exploit going on that I could’ve accidentally replicated had I not seen something on Twitter about this.

this should be addressed since this is an exploit way beyond the reputation one. Blizzard needs to move and ban these people if that is the decision. It’s abuse to upgrade alts like this; not intended game mechanic. @blizzdevs

Yeah those people should be banned you can look up their armory and see how many bosses they have killed vs their ilvl. This is a clear bug and an exploit. Just more World’s First raiders taking advantage. People having 20+ Queen kills week 1 on a single toon.

Bumping this even though I’d imagine this is getting fixed very soon (with many bans being handed out); I saw at least two guilds on my own server exploiting this, including an established late-CE guild that was out here doing this at 2 PM EST on a Sunday on the same characters that already have multiple kills of each Heroic boss.

Either way, hope this gets fixed soon and that bans are handed out, because this is unbelievable degeneracy and I’d imagine it’s very easy for Blizzard to keep track of this.

EDIT: There’s also a bug where people are hearthing out right before a boss dies which gives them the loot but doesn’t lock players out which is WAAAAAY more egregious.
