Warbands - LIbrary/Key Ring - General Drop Down

Can we please have a general LIBRARY? Either for each character or even attached to the Warbands. I have many books in my bank and Void Bank. I never know when a book, scroll, or other reading item is essential for the beginning or end of a game or for reference in future expansions to review the information.

We are about to go up against the Void again. If I remember right, there were books related to this in BfA.

At Blizzcon, the comment was made about bringing all of the elves together again. I had to explain Nazjatar and Suramar to a new player. (I’m a guide, so I was asked.)

I just finished the Netherwing storyline in Dragonflight. Few players took the time to do that storyline in BC. Some have no idea what we are discussing.

It would be great not to have to take up bank space. It would be lovely if we didn’t have to pop up a box and scroll through the icons of books. It would be nice to have an interface where we open a box and see a list of books—maybe broken up by expansion. Maybe allow us to set up our classification. Better yet. Let them all go into one text list box that can be scrolled but where we can search on them.

It would make things much more accessible and free up much space in our bags.

At the same time, can we have the same thing with a Key Ring? I have bank spaces stacked with keys that don’t stack. The difficulty is taken away as far as looking for the keys, but it is still our responsibility to verify we have all the keys we need to open crypts in Revendreth.

These don’t have to be across Warbands, but it would be nice. I have duplicates of books for most of my alts because I keep them pretty, even in the storylines, until I start a new one.

Please?

Gods! Yes! Please!

We used to have a key ring in vanilla/tbc and they got rid of it.

I would love to have all the books stored in the collection tab. I currently use an addon but those can be nebulous.

for books?

Not for books. But I love the idea.

But there was an actual key ring in vanilla. It acted like a separate bag and was accessed via a little key icon. Vanilla/TBC had a lot of keys to access dungeons doors. And anytime you picked up or earned a key, it immediately popped onto the keyring.

Can I have a food pantry as well?
I have a lot of crafted foods from old expansions i want to hold onto for reasons.
like Bacon! Who dosent want to have bacon at all times?
So yes, I need a food pantry! A portable food pantry toy thing i can drop anywhere in the world to store all my food consumables in.
think of all the bacon!!

That I knew about… We had it up to wrath (or for part of it) until they ā€˜hid’ it and made it part of the character stuff but hidden.

I’m not sure how a key ring would work… I would however LOVE a bookshelf in my garrison that had every book in game, and then visibly showed the books I had found.

When I was watching BlizzCon 2023, and they explained what some of the future expansions were about I went running to my Void Storage. I still had a few of the books from that time but then I remembered I had to get rid of some because of the number of tabards I have. If the books were ā€œclickableā€ so they automatically get stored in your personal library so you could easily pull up the books for reference - that would be worth it. How many people have gone through all the books in the Stormwind library and when you hit a questline, you are trying to remember what you read about it?

The wearing of Tabards as a requirement should not have to require storage either. I have an addon for this, but there are times when you are required to have the tabard. The fact some cannot go into your VOID storage is ridiculous, too. Almost every tabard from Shadowlands goes into Void, with the exception of Maldraxxus. What??? It’s weird.
