I have watched a few Videos on Warbands and there are more confusing as they all assume I have been playing for 20 years…
Any videos out there that explains it like I am a 5 year old? Im so confused.
I am not sure what you are asking, but you don’t have to do anything to make the Warbands work, they just do.
Warbands are account wide progression across all your characters on your Battle Net account. When one character completes a quest chain the warband is seen to have completed that quest chain. You can still do the quest chain on other alts, but you can also skip it and go to another place to level because one character already finished it.
You can also share most currency, amoungst your characters. You have access to a warband bank that all your characters can share, even between realms and factions.
Some items will even say ‘warbound until equipped’. If you get a drop with this you can put it in your Warband bank and let one of your other characters have the item.
Warband tabs can be costly, but I haven’t seen a reason to have more then one tab for them to all share.

One thing is unclear: I am a Hunter. If I go do let’s say Uldir Raid and a piece of gear drops that is a plate piece for a warrior, can I MOG it? Or if say a DH weapon drops that I cant use, can I mog it? I’m just unclear on what Ican and can’t Mog or wear?
Yes, but only on a Warrior character or other Plate wearer on your account that can equip it. So your Hunter can’t mog it, but your Warrior can.
I used to farm mogs for my Paladin and my Mage, but now when I farm mogs on my Paladin or my Mage, they are also earning mogs for all my other characters.
There can be some fussy details about Tier Sets. I think a Hunter will not get the mog for a Warrior-specific Class chest piece. But mostly, Tier pieces will come in the form of Tokens that you can use to make the Tier pieces, and these are Warbound/Bind on Account, so you can mail them or transger them through your Warbank to your other alts who can use them.
You can still only wear what a normal hunter can wear, and are limited to transmogs in the hunter range. However the gear will go on your collection tab so that another character will be able to use the appearance.
You wont be able to use the plate, but you get the appearance of the plate item so that one of your characters that can use plate can transmog to that item.
