Am I to understand that multiple gatherers will be unnecessary?

I think so because you can share a bank with all people in the warband. kind of like a guild bank. I wonder how many char you can have in a warband though?
All of your characters will be in your âwarbandâ and count towards progression, so you will now be playing an account instead of individual characters.

ohh all of your characters? i thought you could only put like 4-5 in your warband.
If so I wonder if thatâs all your characters gold and all that accessable to your account. God that will make things so much easier.

Hells to the yeah letâs goooooo! Omg this will save so much dang time. Get an account bank. They need to make the warband area a player house with all your toons as roomies.
Or at least move my garrison there.

Itâs the new character screen that you can only put 5 in, not the band itself.
And there is no opt out for the system.
You can throw everything that will fit in your Warband Bank and the bank and, therefore, all those things will be accessible to all the characters on your account.
There is no warband area. It is just a pic for your character screen.
Thatâs just for the login screen
Aw. They could put more effort then that into it considering itâs a thing for a trilogy expansion

My characters would prefer a private room they can decorate to their tastes and have a real bed to lay their head in.
And I would prefer they leave the character screen alone.

Pay special attention to the account-wide progress part.
You will indeed be playing an account.
That still isnât âplaying an account.â Youâll get current expansion rep. And a bank. Youâll get less in Warbands than you do in your SWTOR Legacy. And guess what? I was still playing individual characters.
Playing one doesnât level and complete all content for every character.
Isnât there a 4 toons cap for the warband?
No. Warband is a fancy name for your entire account. The characters you choose to see on your login screen is a separate feature.
Yes, your renown progress. (I am not counting the bank because it isnât progress, itâs just storage.)
And your gear progress.
And your delve companion progress.
And your achievement progress.
And your flight path progress.
And your transmog progress.
And that is on top of all the account-wide crap already in the game.
Ion has been pushing this idea of the person behind the characters being the focal point, not the characters themselves for four years that I know of (I wish I had the time to find the quotes from then and his most recent one at Blizzcon) and this is how he is doing it.
Characters and their adventures are no longer being developed individually, it is your account than is being developed.
I wouldnât care if I could opt-out but I canât.
You can only put 4-5 on the character select screen. (I believe the number they showed was 4)
But all your characters are in your warband regardless of server (provided theyâre on the same account)
