So how I understood when you do quests even on a max level toon you were supposed to be getting experience for your Alts. Did I misunderstand this because the alts in my warband aren’t earning anything? I’m just confused about it.
Brother this was never said. They made it so rep progression / gear progression to a degree (Valorstone discounts on alts), and special gear you could loot on your main and if they werent useful give to alts.

Not experience just rep grinds are shared. And a lot of equipment will have warbound effects. Supposedly at the end of the raid/ mythic + there is a chance of getting a random warbound piece of gear. And this will make it easier to level alts if your main can also get them gear, from the high level content they are doing.
and for every character up to 5 that you level to 80, you get a buff on your alts that increases exp gain by 5%

No, you get a boost to your alt leveling (5% with one toon at 80) so they more XP as they do things.
Not sure if this increases the more toons you have at 80, I’ve just the one.
