Since two days ago, two of my characters on the character select screen have stopped showing their transmogs. Now they constantly look goofy, and one of them is a main going back years and years. I’m scared to log on the other two on that campsite, I don’t want them to lose their beautiful looks.
Has this happened to anyone else before? I hope it’s temporary.
I have not experienced this issue yet. However, I am also having visual bugs with the warband character select screen as well. My shaman’s character description is missing his specialization, and his animation has changed. It’s as if his spec (and its animation) are no longer recognized.
Have you tried uninstalling the game to see if it resolves the issue? Resttig the UI did not fix my issue. So I’m trying a reinstall.
This is happening across the board on a lot of my characters. Hunter bows are showing up as different artifact bow appearances. Tons of characters have missing descriptions, and their animation effects are incorrect. Shadow Priests are doing the Holy animation, Frost Mages are doing the Arcane effect on their hands, etc.
Something got goofed in the latest game build.

Yes, my main only. When you log her in she is wearing her normal mog, but did a search to see if its happening to others. Glad its not a local issue and hope it is fixed!
I can confirm with Gorrok: the descriptions and animations of all my characters are incorrect/messing up.
I believe my axes (molten transmog) are still showing on the character screen, but I can’t remember if my armor changed. I’ll have to check.
Resetting the UI and reinstalling WoW did not fix any of my visual, text, or animation issues.
Yeah, this is for sure wide spread. I just had my buddy and his wife check their accounts, and all of their characters are experiencing the same issues. Wrong spec animations showing, missing descriptions, and various tmog hiccups.
Only one of my hunters is currently showing the wrong bow, but oddly enough it’s showing a artifact appearance that I’ve never even used on him. At any rate, Blizz is surely aware of this by now. I noticed the weird spec animations immediately. They’re probably making more changes to the warband camps, and something screwy slipped through the cracks.
I’ve noticed the same thing here. Oddly enough it only seems to happen on my warlock and deathknight, which happen to be the 2 I play most.
Yes! I have been having the same issue and its been driving me crazy. From researching it sounds like this bug pops up every so often and I’ve tried all the recommendations to try to fix it but nothing has been working. There’s a hot fix happening tonight at reset so hopefully it will get corrected.
I’m betting that hotfix is going to be for Dastardly Duos fixes / changes. I imagine they’ll fix the warband camps pretty quick, though, as they’re pretty jacked up at the moment.
I did notice that the description of characters specs, didn’t actually mess up until I logged into them. So like one of my rogues said “Outlaw Rogue”, but then after logging into him and logging out, then it just said “Rogue”. So characters that I haven’t logged into yet, still have their spec displaying normally. Animations still broke for all of them, though.
[EDIT] I was wrong, they did fix it with the hotfix this morning. Everything seems to be back to normal in the warband screens now. Well done!

I was having a rough day to begin with, but this is a nice respite.
